I giggled as we broke from each other but when my eyes found his face, I paled. I had just kissed a powerful boss who was rumored to be allergic to women, this wasn't a book, this was reality!!! My mind was blank for a minute, my face paled as I started thinking of the possible way to redeem myself but he smirked. “Shocked huh. I thought so”. Maybe it’s because I am his wife? He caresses my hair and smiles, “I have missed you so much.” He said before wrapping his arms around me, pulling me closer to him until my chest was pressed against his, then he surprised me with a kiss. His hands were wrapped around my waist as he pulled one hand to the back of my head. His lips felt good against mine. Is it wrong to like his kisses? I mean, he was my boss after all. I felt his arms roam against my body and then I felt his hand on my ass. My eyes widen and I pull away.

He swallows before turning and walking out of the kitchen without a backwards glance leaving me confused about what just happened. Doubt fills me, I feel used and all the reasons why I shouldn’t have let him kiss me flood my mind. Reeves. I pressed my palms over my burning face as the hazy memory flashed, the memory of his mouth warm against mine, his hands steadying me, my breath tangled with his. And I hadn’t just kissed him. I practically launched myself at him like some overenthusiastic, drunken octopus. “Oh my God,” I whispered into my blanket. “I violated my boss.” My boss who was impossibly gorgeous, impossibly composed and impossibly everything I shouldn’t be kissing. "I could do without your presence." "I love you too." She laughed, as her eyes wandered over me. "What are you wearing?" I rolled my eyes, grabbing my phone from the table. "Whatever it looks like," I replied with a grin pulling the hoodie over my head. "I'm off." When I called in sick at my workplace, I was granted permission immediately which surprised me because not only were we short on waitresses these days, the manager wasn't someone that approved shitty excuses to skip work. "Get some chocolates on your way back," Kathy screamed behind me as I rushed down the stairs.

I felt a little bit of pain, he just saw me as a sex toy, what did I even expect from a man like him? I wanted to push him away and rush to my room but I was enjoying what he was doing to my bre*st. Although the words stuck in my throat, my body was screaming for me to kiss him and, for a brief minute, forget the chaos of my life. He then gave me a kiss. It wasn't a tentative, slow kiss. It was intense and furious, like a fire starting inside of me. His lips meeting mine caused something inside of me to burst open, even if I hadn't anticipated it. Breathless, my eyes wide, I withdrew. "What the hell was that?" Yemi remained unflinching. He just grinned, his eyes full of laughter. "Exactly what you needed." A hand grabbed my shoulder before I could reply, pulling me back into the unprepared reality.

PRESENT SELENE’S POV: The problem with kissing your boss, who also happened to be your highschool enemy and inconveniently, the object of every sick fnatasy you’d ever had—as I very quickly realized—was that you still had to see him the next day and it was awkward as fuck. I’ve only had a Sunday to spiral and internally die in peace about the kiss and before I knew it, it was Monday and I had to show up to the office and pretend that everything was fine.
