Novel & Cerita I Like To Read A Book

I have work in the morning, at a coffee shop, I’m 21, no college education, and books are my only escape from my sad reality, but I had to find the one book that made me angry tonight. I close my eyes, trying to sleep but Nygeria and Noah keep coming back to my mind. I want to know what happens, but I can’t get with it. Nygeria in the book is way too weak. If it were me, I’d ruin the plot. I drift off to sleep, still thinking of the book Nygeria and Noah.

Books are oxygen for the literate. For me, there's no other way to breathe. Breathing comes naturally to living organisms. For a nerd with a perfect attendance record and zero friends, air fills my lungs, and words fill my head. I like filling my head with facts, opinions, and fanfiction. There's nothing better than reading Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings fanfics on a Friday night.

Heading to the library alone, I feel sadder the more I am getting nearer to my destination. “I don’t like this.” I mumble while pouting my lips. Airo isn’t here today so I took the book he always reads. It’s my time to fill my head with some useful information about this so-called parallel universe. I spend the rest of my time reading it even though most of it seems impossible to understand. I could get a nosebleed with this out of the world’s words. Closing the book, I just notice a man in all poker glaring at me.

Lila shook her head at me in pity, still roaming her eyes around the novel she was reading. "Are you even listening to me?" I snapped. She raised her head from the novel. "Of course, why not?" "As far as I remember, you've been reading that damn novel since I've been talking to you. What do people enjoy reading words?" "Because it's awesome." "How? You can rather watch a movie than read books." I slapped the book out of her hand. "This book… Alpha's Check Mate by Amaury, it's awesome. You really should read her books. Some people prefer reading books than watching movies." She rolled her eyes and picked the book from the floor.

Going to the movies with Liam this morning was such huge fun, I love Disney movies and doubt I’ll ever grow out of it. Idly, I scroll through TikTok then jump over to YouTube to catch up on some of my favorite book bloggers and see what they’ve been reading this month. A couple of books I haven’t read look good. Grabbing my journal and pen, I start to make notes so I don’t forget which ones I want to buy.

It’s so good it borders on s*x. Sort of. I read for a bit longer before falling asleep, curled up in a blanket by the fireplace. The next morning I start the same way. Read, work for about an hour, make something to eat, read some more. And then I’m done with that book. Ugh. I glance at the fae book. Why hadn’t I brought a third book?

I buy a book every day but now I have them stockpiled for a whole week or even a month. I have no job and reading has become the only job I employed myself for with no pay. I can read a complete book in a day while other times, I read half of it before sleep overtakes me. Aside from reading, I eat a lot and sleep a lot. I do my exercises indoors now and I watch movies when I am tired of reading or straining my eyes to read. At night, when the light of the apartment has been cut off sometimes, I watch movies on my phone.

~QUINN~ My eyes staying focused on nothing else, I flipped to the next page. While Gwen busied herself in the living room, I lay on the bed enjoying the silence in the bedroom that made for a perfect opportunity to enjoy one of my favourite hobbies. Reading. Being a bookworm, despite how I may appear to people, was one of the best traits I appreciated. There was something about burying my nose in the pages of a book that soothed my mind. It took my imaginations to a world. A world free of worries.
