I Like To Read A Book Novels & Stories

It has never been my goal to impress my sister with anything I do. I scroll through the books in the library until I come to my favourite section, Mystery. I always love the thrill that comes with not knowing what's going to happen next. You can make it more interesting for yourself if you start to wonder what is happening and what will happen. I take a few glances through the books on the shelves and take a book that looks the most interesting out of all the books I saw. 'In the Woods' by Tana French.

he asked, his gaze focused on me. I smiled, feeling my cheeks turn pink. "Well, I love spending time with my family. They mean everything to me," I said, feeling a sense of warmth spread throughout my body. "And I also love to read. It's a great escape for me." Carlos chuckled. "I can tell you're a bookworm. What's your favorite book?" "Oh, that's a tough one," I replied, thinking back to all the books I've read. "I would have to say 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen. It's a classic for a reason."

I have no desire to interact with them, let alone form any togetherness. It doesn’t matter. No one questions me, not that I care, because I block it all out and start reading Bunny, a book I have been meaning to start for a while now. The thing I love the most about reading is how the world outside me fades and I am thrust into the world in front of me. That’s how I can shut out everyone, not even noticing the person who has been looking at me, the jabs thrown my way, or even the frustration once the jabs miss the mark and do not rouse the desired reaction.

Sprinted to the door, I pulled it open, not expecting it to open, but it did, causing my heart to swell in joy. Ambling to the shelf, my eyes darted round the various book covers. Fiction was my favorite book to read because the best thing about reading was to be able to escape from your life, to be able to read hundreds or even thousands of other lives. Non-fiction does not have that power, it does not change you the way fiction does. To me, if you are not affected somehow, even if it is the slightest change, you are not reading the right book. I would love to think that every novel I have read has become a part of me and created who I am in a sense.

This was a question I couldn’t answer so I let it be. My legs carried me to the bookshelves once again, totally blown away by all of the interesting reads I had to myself. I took my time, admiring each collection with my fingers skating across them on the shelves while reading their titles. I wanted to read one. My day had been chaotic and there was nothing I’d love more than to pick a good romance book, settle in bed, and read until I fell asleep. It was one of my favorite hobbies and the way I usually spent my nights on weekends, after a stressful week of attending classes and working my ass off to pay my bills.

I nodded awkwardly, not knowing what else to say. “It's one of my favorite books to read, it's got everything you want to know about herbs in it. I would recommend for you to read but you don't seem like a big fan of books” “Nah, not this kind of book but I do love reading at times,” I said with a little laugh and then scratched the back of my head. “Uhm, you know I think I'll come back later, there's this little stuff I got to take care of”

It's late summer, fall is just around the corner. “You love reading, you'd be so happy if I brought a book when I go home after work. You will read books wherever you are. In the room, the reading room, you spend a lot of time in the greenhouse reading.” I smiled a little, I do love reading. To be more precise, I like new things, and for me reading books is the only place where I can learn new things. Especially fiction. “You like fictional books.” My eyes rounded at this. Ah, he really is my partner.

I've been in my room most of the weekend. Swim practice was sucky, and I came home a little later Saturday morning and went back to sleep. Then waking up around 11 I showered, did some homework, and wasted some time watching TV. Now, in the late afternoon, I've taken to reading a book. I have a pretty extensive TBR list, and most of the books piled on a bookshelf to prove it. I don't broadcast the amount of reading I do on a regular basis, but anyone who knows me well knows I love a good book. I'm sprawled across my bed, laying on my stomach when my door cracks open.
