What? My heart dropped to my stomach the moment I saw who sent the message. Siddharth Kaur? I rubbed my eyes severally to confirm if I was sleeping or not. I even pinched my arm. It wasn’t from any of my saved contacts. Not Theo—I would have recognized his number immediately. Not Jaden or Lila. It felt personal, thoughtful, and strangely comforting. I hesitated only briefly before replying. Me: Thank you so much! That’s really sweet of you. Who is this?

It was one billion times better than my old thrash of a phone. I scrutinised the box again and found a note. It read: --------- Dear sweetest sweetheart, I hope you love my present because I realised that I destroyed your phone the other day. I saw the junk you were using as your phone and it hurt my heart to know that. Caramel was right in that aspect that I overlooked it. I am craving something cheese so I stand up to where I am sitting and suddenly phone vibrates on my phone. I received a message and it’s from Oliver. From Oliver Did you eat your lunch already? I bought you some cheese because I know you love it. Just wait for the delivery man and please don’t worry about paying it because I already paid it” This is the text message from Oliver. What the?
