I Love Your Dad Novels & Stories

"Look at me, Lucia. Look at me right here. I am your dad. You hear me? I am your dad." He stressed the words, making sure they sank in deeper than any biological truth could. "I am the one who sits here and helps you with your homework. I am the one who taught you how to ride your bike. I am the one who reads you a bedtime story every single night, who chases away the monsters under the bed, who drives you to school, and who catches you when you jump off the big rock at the park. We are related by love, not just by blood, and love is stronger than anything else."

“I’m doing this for you, Father. For Mom. For Nana (previous Luna). They took so much, but they won’t take everything. I’ll avenge them. I swear it.” “You need to wake up, Dad. You’re the only one who can tell us who really did this to you.” Tears burned my eyes. I wiped them roughly, leaning closer. “I miss you. Every damn day.” My dad’s fingers twitched. Just once. A small movement but I saw it. My breath caught in my throat. “Dad?” I leaned forward, heart pounding. “Did you just—”

tenderness I said to Mom. "You know your Dad. you're his favorite child." My mother and I smile at the same time because I am an only child. "I love you, mom and Dad. You are in my heart, and I will call you often or video call, so don't be sad, Dad. You can visit us there anytime." I explained to my father that it calmed him down and later on became happy. ~~~

I love the idiot. My dad told Trevor that I am no longer interested in getting married to his son and he stopped picking his calls. I tried to let go of my plans to get him in every possible means but the thought of seeing him someday with some woman made me pick up the interest of getting him no matter what. Father wouldn't understand. No one will understand how much I love him. Aidan is everything that I want and need in a man.

“I don’t want to see him. At least not right now. I know he’s my biological father, but I don’t think I can deal with that.” “If that’s what you want, that’s okay,” Dad said gently. “And if one day you want something different, I’ll support you too. You know that, right?” “Yes, I know,” I whispered, feeling lighter just hearing it. He leaned in and tapped my forehead with a flour-covered finger. “I love you, you little bug.” I couldn’t help smiling. “I love you even more.” Dad stayed quiet for a moment, his expression blending tenderness and worry. Then, almost in a murmur, he added:

I'm happy to be lost in this world because I'll be with my mom. Dad, I'm sorry if I blamed you when mom disappeared. I've already forgiven you. Dad, thank you for all that you do for me. I will die with a smile on my lips. Take care of yourself even when I'm gone. I'm always in your heart, dad. I didn't tell you this before, and I'm not making you feel the love, but dad I love you so much. -Jared

Three months later, I went to see Dad in prison. Through the visitation glass he looked so much older. His hair was mostly gray now, and he was hunched. He didn't match the big, loud man I remembered at all. When he saw me his eyes filled up right away. His mouth was trembling. He picked up the phone. "Nina... I'm sorry. I'm sorry about your mom. About you. If I could go back." "You don't get to go back." I cut him off. "I don't hate you anymore. But I'm not going to forgive you."

“And why on earth am I not the right man?” “BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, YOU IDIOT!” I scream, my voice echoing around us. “You’re a horrible fit because I love you. I’ve been in love with you since you saved me from the rain that day. Now do you get it? We can’t be family because that would mean that I’ve always been in love with my own dad.”

I picked her up and dropped her on my lap. The smile on her face had already vanished and I could see the fear on her face. How to tell her this? “Your dad was a very good man but…” “But he… He is now a… He loves you so much, Diane. Your dad loves you very much and he didn’t want to leave you anytime soon. He is sorry and I am sorry” Tears were clouding my sight as I saw the tears gathering in her eyes too. “He is now… He is now with your mum. They are both stars, Diane” The tears quietly rolled down my cheeks and she broke down in tears.
