The next day I removed the Finding Nemo DVD from our movie shelf and found another note inside, blue this time. 'Always close this door.' The next day, I found a note stuck at the bottom of my chocolate milkshake in the refrigerator. 'She is cute.'

Brianne wanted to speak, but when she saw the look on my face, she knew whatever this was, it was not going to get resolved now, and so she let me go. Finally alone, I headed to the bar for a drink, and just as my luck would have it, Dame swooped in front of me. “What’s the matter, Beck?” I kept my mouth shut and tried to ignore his presence. I’m sure we can stream that if you would like to see it.” he starts looking through his phone, presumably searching for the film. “No, you guys don’t want to watch a silly kids movie. I’ll watch whatever, seriously.” I do want to watch it really, but I cant imagine a kids movie being the kind of thing two fierce Alphas want to spend their evening watching.

I can't shake off this feeling that something utterly disgusting and bad is about to happen. I need some space to clear my head. “Hey, girls. Would you excuse me for a second? I need to find the bathroom.” I get on my feet. “Why?” Angie asks, batting her eyelashes. “You want to touch up your makeup? You sure do put in a lot of effort to look better than us, Nobi.” I clench my fist. I swear once we’re alone, I’ll grab her blonde hair and swing her into a fucking wall. She just annoys me so much. Swallowing the curses, I smile at her. “I’ll be right back.”

I found myself scoffing but a tear was stinging my eyes, the little devil of a droplet just stayed hanging unto my lashes for dear life lest it falls and drags my pride down with it.
