“I feel like I’m breaking apart, Ingrid.” She gently squeezed my hand. “It’ll be okay. I’m here. Adrian’s here. You’re not alone.” I laughed bitterly. “That’s the problem. I am STILL alone. There’s no one I can talk to that can help me with this. I don’t even know who I am anymore. I state leaving them wide eyed as I bolt into my room shutting the room behind me. I pace back and forth in my room as I pant, trying to regulate my breathing. My head swoons and I stagger around to find the bed and I flop down on it. She just had to make everything one big deal. Yes it was a big deal! And it is still a big deal for me, I’m the one that has to keep fighting because I know Drake is a petty excuse of a man. As I'm staring at the wall I hear the door open. I can't bring myself to see who walked in. Being alone is my new life now. She said holding my hands in hers which only made me sigh, there’s so much that has happened to me recently that I would have appreciated a little head up. “So, I’m supposed to figure this out all by myself?” I ask with a look of sadness, but I already knew the answer, she simply nodded her head with a smile. “Being alone and having to work out the world is something I’ve done since a young age, I guess this won’t be any different.” I say with a sigh looking down at the ground, it’s a hard pill to swallow realising no one truly has your back, you’re genuinely, walking around this earth alone trying to figure out your place in it.
