The Unwanted Wife
“You deserve so much more than this. So much more than him.”
“I thought I could fix it,” I whispered, clinging tightly to her, my voice breaking again. “I tried so hard, Sheila. I gave him everything. But it wasn’t enough.”
She gently pulled back, looking directly into my eyes, her gaze steady, serious, but kind. “It’s time, Ana. It’s time to let him go. You’ve fought enough. It’s over. You need to let Regan go—for yourself, and especially for your baby.”
Her words pierced through my pain, raw and true. I knew she was right. But accepting it felt like tearing out a piece of my soul. My heart ached unbearably, but I nodded slowly, letting her words settle into my bones.
