“The visions… they’re stronger.” Ava’s brow furrowed, and she stepped closer, her hand resting on my arm. “What did you see this time?” I swallowed hard, forcing the words past the knot in my throat. “A battle… a war. Both packs fight, killing each other. The forest is in flames. I... I was there, holding the keys. But it felt like I was on the edge, watching everything burn.” Her grip on my arm tightened her voice barely a whisper. “The prophecy.”

“My beta just mind-linked me. The Seer wants to see us. Immediately.” Marcus stepped forward, concerned. “Do you think you two can go like this?” “We’ll shift back, right?” Ava asked, a flicker of uncertainty in her voice. “Yes. You just need to talk to your wolf,” Achi said gently. “She’s in you.” Ava blinked. “Someone’s in me? How?” she whispered to herself. Then, a faint voice echoed in her mind. “Hey, Ava. I’m Aurora—your wolf.” Ava’s breath hitched. “Who are you? Who just called me?” she asked aloud, spinning around.

Ava growled, showing rotten teeth that were beginning to fall from her gums. "Says the rotting corpse." I growled, unable to handle what I was seeing. "Arissa!" Ivan hissed as I attempted to attack. "There’s nothing there!" "Sure there is." I insisted, staring into the dark depths of Ava’s eyes. "She is right there!" Ivan didn’t respond as I tried to contain the warring emotions that were beginning to roll through me. Ava was there. She was standing right there! Why was this happening? "Ivan," I murmured, snapping my gaze away from the specter standing in the middle of our room. "I think I’m going mad. What should I do?"

The Avatar’s face didn't change expression, but the temperature in the room dropped thirty degrees. The sapphire glow turned from a soft pulse to a jagged, electric flicker. "Imperfection is a disease, Audrey," the Avatar said, her voice now sounding like the grinding of tectonic plates. "You cling to your scars as if they are trophies. You cling to your mortality as if it is a gift. But look at your King. Look at the man you love."

Maybe the voice was wrong , maybe I do not need to run away any more. I squint my eyes a bit as I see a silhouette of a person – some thing about this silhouette reminds me of some one I know. The thickness of the fog begins to fade out , making the silhouette clearer and clearer. I gasp as I see the one person I never thought I would see in my dreams – David.

“Ava… Ava!” I toss and turn on the bed struggling to keep my eyes open. When I finally do, I cower back to the edge of the bed in fear. “Why are you moving away? Are you scared of me Ava?” “No, N..No I’m not. What would you need Uncle Sebastian?” I avoid looking into his eyes. I know what will come if I do. “Move forward.” I try to move but my legs feel weighed down. I even try to respond but words just won’t come out.

Ava's smile was a masterful blend of sweetness and malice, her lips curling up in a sly, sideways curve. It was a smile that hinted at secrets and schemes, a smile that suggested she knew something you didn't. As she gazed at the screens, her eyes landed on another video feed, this one showing the interior of the Timberlakes' house. But the image was fuzzy, the camera's battery low. Ava's eyes narrowed, her smile faltering for a moment.

Suddenly, the room began to fade. "What's happening?" Emily asked. Michael Beta's eyes locked onto the message. "Ava's essence." As the room faded, Michael Beta's vision blurred. Ava's essence materialized before him. "Ava?" Michael Beta whispered. Ava's ethereal voice replied, "Michael Beta, I've been waiting." Emily's eyes widened. "Ava? Is that you?" Ava's essence nodded. "I've been guiding Michael Beta." Michael Beta's heart swelled. "Why?"

Kai POV ​“Liora,” I say, dropping to my knees before her. My voice is rough with concern, my hands framing her knees. The contact sparks an immediate, electric warmth that Atlas amplifies, his roar a thunder in my mind that makes my heart pound against my ribs. “You’re shaking. Talk to me.
