Liam’s pov: I woke up in my bed, feeling groggy and disoriented. I can't remember falling asleep, and I'm not sure how long I've been out. I sit up and stretch, and the events of the previous day come rushing back to me. I remember the argument with my parents, and the shocking revelation about my real mom. I felt a surge of anger.

He removed the cloth from her mouth and Julia began to scream so loudly Jason felt like his ear drums were going to explode. "Shut up," Jason said and a slap landed on the side of Julia's face, which turned red and swelled up immediately. Julia's head began to spin, she thought she might pass out anytime soon. She became terrified and started trembling in the seat. "Okay, tell me what were you doing before you woke up in my bed" Jason asked. Tears rolled down Julia's face as she spoke, her voice trembling "Please don't harm me, I don't remember anything." she replied honestly.

He took my suitcase from me enthusiastically, saying, "We're a long way from the village, so you should rest in the car if you're tired." I nodded, abashed, before turning on my phone to tell Jane that I'd arrived safely. When the screen of my phone lit up, countless notifications for missed calls popped up on the screen. All of them were from Harold. Only then did I realize regretfully that I'd forgotten to block his other number. It didn't stop there; the numerous WhatsApp messages made their presence known. "The wedding's going to start soon, darling. Where are you?" "Did something happen to you? Give me your address, and I'll go to you right away!"

What I was saying made no sense because I didn't start at the beginning. So I took a deep breath and said, "I woke up in a slave trader's tent. I couldn't remember anything apart from my name, and you. That was all I remembered. I didn't know who you were, I just knew that I had to find you and that perhaps you had some influence in my life before the coma. That was what it was. For years and years, I just laid on a bed and when I awoke, I didn't know anything. Couldn't remember anything.

The next morning I woke up at 5, dawn time it was, as I was supposed to, not willfully, I yawned as I stood up and wore my slippers, walked into the bathroom took a shower, and freshened up. All my steps were now a part of my schedule like it is in everyone else's life, to wake up at a particular time, to brush their teeth, take a bath, have breakfast, some don't, like I did. And all of this engraved in their minds and bodies, that they might as well be sleep walking when they do so. It is muscle-memory sort of.

I woke up. Not my usual lazy, lie-there-and-stare-at-the-ceiling kind of wake-up either. No, today I shot up like someone lit a fire under me and bolted to the bathroom. The moment my knees hit the floor, everything I chugged last night comes pouring out. Delightful.

Max’s P.O.V ‘Creek creek creek’ alarm buzzer went off. “Mmhhh, I’m up” I said to no one but myself. I woke up feeling lazy, tired, like I had been running thousand miles. I tried sitting up on my bed with my legs on the floor or better yet standing but it was no use. I just ended up sitting at the edge of my bed face palming myself facing down trying to shake the feeling of tiresomeness, but it wasn’t going away.
