Ice King Finn Novels & Stories

SARAH The stadium lights were so bright they made the falling snow look like glitter. Loud. Blinding. Electric. And somehow… I was still invisible in all of it. The crowd roared as Henry skated past center ice, slicing through defenders like he owned the entire rink. Of course he did—Captain, golden boy, the school’s pride, the Blake everyone wanted to take pictures with. “Henry! Henry! Henry!” Their voices shook the dome, echoing off the frosted glass.

"They play for revenge. We play for everything that matters. Now let's go home." As Chase skated off toward the tunnel to the roar of twenty thousand voices, I pressed the shutter on my camera, capturing the definitive image of Game 1: the Ice King, victorious, unbroken, and completely untouchable on his own ice.

The presenter completed his words before opening the next one. "Welcome to the stage with me the presenters of Velmora Ice Hockey Team: Killian, the leader. Jace, the new Alpha of Velmora, and Derek, the Prince of Red River sub-pack!" The presenter announced as Jace stood up and moved to the stage. "And the Riverside college? Their names are Matt, Einstein, and Albert!" He announced. "The fact that the two last names are the full name of a great scientist makes us believe they're here for a good fight!"

The kind of hit that usually no one would stop. No one had stopped them last time. Except this time, Branick moved. Their enforcer. 6'5", built like a concrete wall with skates. A man who’d watched every other hazing moment in silence. A man who had never once lifted a finger when Milo had needed it. But now, without even looking at Milo, Branick cut across the ice with one powerful stride and leveled the oncoming forward with a clean, brutal shoulder. Sent him sprawling before he could touch Milo.

The broadcast cameras zoomed in, capturing the stillness of his posture, the calm determination in his gaze. He stood at the center of the rink, his head tilted down, his arms crossed loosely over his chest. He took one final, deep breath, tasting the cold, crisp air of the arena, and felt the weight of the silver medal he had been chasing for so long. It was there, just beneath the surface of the ice, waiting for him to reach out and take it. He shifted his weight, his right blade striking the ice with a sharp, decisive *clink*, and the free skate began. The opening chord of the symphony surged through the arena, and Liam Vance, the king of the ice, began his final ascent toward the gold.

Jax closed it. Miller turned the laptop so we could see the screen. It was a screenshot of a comment on a fan forum dedicated to the Vipers. The comment was from an account with no followers and a username that included a reference to a popular player nickname. It said: Work on the equipment side. Can confirm the ice king and the comet situation is not just hockey chemistry. Saw enough to know. Won't say more but it's real and it's been real for a while. Below it, the original post had three hundred replies and climbing.

“I mean, how often do we get to watch some cocky asshole get his ego checked by our team?” I typed back: “I'll be there.” “Good. Because I need you on my line. We're going to destroy this guy.” I set the phone down and closed my eyes. The rejection mark burned between my shoulder blades. Just a game. Nothing was going to happen. My phone buzzed again. “Oh by the way, his name is Kai Volkov. The Ice King himself.” I frowned and picked it up. Another text came through before I could respond. "He's supposed to be brutal on the ice. And get this—rumor is he hates Silvercrest Pack. Like, HATES them. They say Silvercrest wolves killed someone he loved years ago and he's been hunting them ever sinc

Mew sighed softly and said " No.. It's not ok. And firstly I want to reform that I didn't inform you about my new found mate's secret" All in the hall made frown in their faces. Elder Kim asked, " Can we ask what is it Alpha?" Mew nodded and continued " Gulf is not ordinary rouge he is the prince of the ice moon pack in the northern territory". All gasp air through their mouth with awe. Elder Scot exclaimed, " Do you aware of what ice moon people can do Alpha? Is he really the prince of the ice moon pack?"

The windows were ceiling high, glass for being see-through and just from whhere I was standing, I can see the whole city. But that was not what caught my artention or stopped me in my tracks – it was Soren Vale. I recognize him the way you recognize a landmark. Impossible not to. He's on the cover of Forbes every other quarter, the kind of man that financial journalists describe as ruthless when they actually mean terrifying and visionary. Tall, dark-suited, jaw set like he was carved out of something expensive and cold. The Ice King. That's what they call him. Right now, the Ice King is being cornered by a woman in a champagne slip dress, mascara streaked down both cheeks, holding her phone

I said, forgetting the fact that one of the things that he hated the most was being compared to anyone else, especially if it's a person he dislikes. "Ice, Ice, Ice..." Siege sipped air through his slightly parted lips. "I'm not the same person as Ice. I was born to be ruthless, I was born to lead, and I was born to be the alpha of my own pack. That only means that I'm much more cruel in every aspect, so you can't compare me to a lowlife, Celestina," he coldly muttered.
