“Because you’re with me.” I stared at him, the fear and confusion warring with something else…something I couldn’t name. “What now?” He stood, offering me his hand. “Now, we run.” I stared at his outstretched hand, my chest tightening. I grabbed the sweat pants he had gotten for me and took them with me to the bathroom. It was going to be hard but I know we have to do this, I know this show was going to be great.
