"Drive, let's go celebrate!" Only then did he realize that he had nothing left without me. It was never that I could not live without him; he was the one who could not live without me. That had felt oh-so-sweet.

And I didn’t want to associate with a creep like him. Then he spent a whole lot of time explaining that wasn’t the case and I have no idea how, but he managed to win me back into carrying him. I mean, I was pretty sure that I wasn’t gonna carry him anyway and there I was, doing the thing that I didn’t expect myself to do. Life, I guess.

He may have spent very little time training me or helping me, but he had played a large part in it all. Now that he was going to be staying with me, I wanted to take some time to myself. After we had come back home, I had gone straight to the shower to wash the blood off me.

And, the best part, was that, I was there with Mikhail. He was the perfect company. I enjoyed his presence and he enjoyed mine. Maybe I could enjoy this while it lasts, until fate comes to take him away from me like it always does.

But now, I was consumed by the feeling that my departure was the reason he died. What if I had stayed? What if I had been there for him? Would he still be alive? Even if he died, would he have died happy? Tears streamed down my face as I relived the memories we shared. I remembered his smile, his laughter, his unwavering support. I felt like I had abandoned him when he needed me most.

He asked. “Yes.” I didn’t even wait for him to speak before I answered him. It felt as though I was pushed by something inside of me to say that, but it was still a great feeling after all. The smile on his face after I said I would go with him lit my mood up. If I had taken a time to think about it and what would happen if I go with him, I would have robbed myself of this feeling. I would go with him and spent as much time as I could with him. I wasn’t sure of what would happen during the late hours of the day. I expected the worse.
