I was done messing up. I closed the book gently and whispered into the empty room… “I’ll stay. Always. No matter what.” Then I added again, voice stronger but simple… “You opened your door to me. So I’ll guard it with my life.” No matter what storms assemble. No matter what wars knock. No matter who undresses in his office again. I wasn’t running anymore. I was staying. And staying doesn’t need complex grammar. It just needs a body that refuses eviction from a heart that already signed the lease in blood.

Entirely itself. I stood in it and thought about what I was going to say. Not a speech. Not a version prepared in advance. Just the truth, the way she had always asked for it — the question underneath everything else, the one that did not require any documentation or legal record or trust clause. Will you stay? Not for a contract. Not for two years or fourteen months or any number that appeared on any page of anything they had ever signed. Just: stay. With me. Because I'm asking. Because I would like very much to spend a long time being someone who keeps showing up in your bookstore for no strategic reason.

30pm so I had a little time to go get ready for later. There was a pile of about 10 books on my kitchen side when I got back to my apartment. The top one had a post it note stuck to it. I check my watch I have 45 minutes to get ready and go so I decided to leave the books and check them later. I quickly take a hot shower washing away the days stress and lust. Getting ready I throw on my trendy jeans, favourite navy shirt which I roll the sleeves up on. I unbutton the top 3 buttons you can just see part of my tattoo peek out, and shove some gel through my hair. Grabbing my keys, phone and jacket I go and get Iris.

POV: SEBASTIAN I try to make her happy. Day after day, night after night— I bleed into the hours just to see her smile, just to see a flicker of light in those eyes she hides from me. But still... all she ever says is she wants to go home.Why hasn’t she looked at me? Days. Weeks. Now months. And it’s like I’m invisible to her. She doesn’t seem happy with me anymore.I’m trying—fuck, I’m trying so hard to make her love me back. But all she ever wants is to run. To escape me.The monster she thinks I am. But she’s wrong. It was the perfect escape from the problems back at home, a refreshing place to wash their minds from all the baleful air and sticky sludge. Anna hummed, laying backward onto the bed, “This is like a little, hidden heaven…I feel like never leaving this place. How long are we staying?” Ella frowned at Anna and kicked the side of her head with her foot and Anna got offended, rolled onto her tummy and quickly worked her limbs until she was kneeling on the bed and grabbing at Ella’s legs.

I called out. “I'll have a look.” Came the call back. “Thanks. Have a seat guys.” I said to Hannah and Danny who still stood in the doorway. “We are staying here for a while, recharging.” I smiled as Hannah took the seat next to me and Danny slumped on the floor next to the fire. “Does anyone want a cup of tea? There's sugar and powdered milk.” He stated with a slight grimace. “Yeah, I'll take one thanks.” I spoke up, hopefully a hot drink would warm me up a little.
