Alpha Arthur slowly raises his head, his eyes burning with fire. He jerks his neck side by side, and with a loud roar, his bones begin to crack as he stands upright. Then he shifts into his wolf form.

They both raised an eyebrow at me, and my Paps clucked his tongue irritably. “You do know that Callie helped to save this poor girl, don’t you, Susan?” Archer said, looking down at her. “Let’s just get on with what’s important.” “Exactly,” Torre interjected, rubbing her manicured hands together. “I’m hungry for vampire flesh. Let’s find the bastards.” Had I not kept a careful hold on my emotions when I was with the other hunters, I would have been unable to keep in my laughter. She then placed our hands together and Nick bit my neck; I winced at the sudden pain but it soon disappeared

I should be able to handle this. I looked up and saw a massive white and red gate. It gave me courage, and I gathered strength to take another step towards the flat land. Breathless, I approached the gate and examined it. When you look inside, it's like there's still a forest blocking your view before you can actually see their house. Hidden, of course, because they are vampires. I mustered up the courage to ring the doorbell, and a man came out of the guard house, smiling at me.

But then, out of nowhere, headlights flooded the alley, and the sound of screeching tires echoed through the night. I heard the door slam open, and there he was—Arthur. He didn’t waste a second. He charged at Vladimir, tackling him to the ground before he could react. I scrambled to my feet, watching as Arthur punched Vladimir hard, over and over, until his face was bloodied and swollen. Arthur’s eyes were wild with rage, his breaths coming out in short, sharp bursts. “Arthur, stop!” I yelled, but he didn’t seem to hear me. He was lost in the fight, lost in the fury that Vladimir had dared to touch me.

Startled, Arthur immediately drew his pistol—loaded with specialized anti-vampire rounds. Bang! Bang! Arthur fired. However, the vampires, knowing the weapon was lethal, dodged with ease. One grabbed Arthur’s hand while another disarmed him. Arthur was pinned as three vampires attacked at once. He fell, and the vampires began to bind him using telekinetic force from their eyes, rendering him helpless. "Filthy cop! I'll drain you dry and leave your bones for the scavengers!" the vampire hissed, climbing on top of Arthur as if to pry open his neck protector.

Lucien also used his energy and turned into a wolf to attack him at the same moment, when Edith ran to her daughter, looking at her like crazy. “No, you can’t do this, you can’t die now, get up, Fury, please, open your eyes, look at me.” Both Eugene and Lucien were hitting Arthur, but to no avail. He laughed very hard as he released part of his energy, causing the two to fall to the ground. “Anyway, I came here just to say hello, and to take the Vampire Queen with me.” Lucien's eyes widened and his wolf ran quickly, surrounding Amelia, while Eren took out his sword and attacked Arthur after he was able to break free from the petrification, but he dropped him to the ground very simply and att

I try to move so that I’m still shielded by Arthur and the familiar doesn’t seem to notice anything, yet.
