AVA'S POV “Fuck! This is just insane! Totally absurd!” I exclaimed, losing my cool alongside my regal poise. All I had wanted was to be reborn a vampire queen, maybe reset the time to when I had met Rowan or alter the course of events. But I got everything I never wanted, the moon goddess reducing me to a totally helpless and feeble freak, who couldn't even heal my own wounds. “What kind of sick Joke is this?” I muttered, seething with confusion.

I swallowed the lump in my throat as he made his way over to his desk. "W-Why was s-she out there?" I asked. Master leaned back against the desk so he was almost sitting on it, placing the leash down in the process. "It's a stupid thing that some vampires do when their pet has misbehaved or they decide that they don't want them anymore." My eyes widened

Despite the strangeness of the situation, Melia found herself finding his astonishment rather amusing. "Vampire..." he murmured, his gaze shifting towards Melia. "Perfect!" he exclaimed, throwing his arms up in a rare moment of elation. "It explains everything. It explains why you're still here, alive. Why... Or maybe... How do you become a vampire?" he asked abruptly, his curiosity getting the best of him. Melia arched an eyebrow and crossed her arms. "I'm not going to tell you that," she replied firmly, her voice as cool as a winter breeze.

The music blasted through the living room and everyone enjoyed the music, including me, of course. Every once in a while, I would check up on the boys, making sure that they were having enough drinks. I want them all to get wasted tonight, including Alex, which was the only way for me to sneak inside his office room. "Do vampires even get drunk?" I asked Elena, who laughed before nodding, her dance moves already getting sloppy. "Special wine darling! Vervain or some shit mixed, I don't know!" she giggled before walking up to James and grinding her back against him. She's definitely drunk

With the most apologetic voice I could muster, I mumbled, “Sorry.” No one calls it their ‘man parts’. Also, he’s two thousand years old? My mind was going everywhere, but at the fact that I was at the mercy of a, possibly, murderous vampire. I should be afraid of him. But because of the realization that he could be vulnerable too, he didn’t come off too daunting as he should. “I would appreciate it if you refrain from doing that again,” he continued to say, sounding more irritated this time. “Your blood is unlike I have ever tasted before, but I will not hesitate to take drastic measures if this adorable rebellion of yours continues.”

I ask tentatively, trying to keep the judgment from my voice. “Closer than we should be..?” Morana repeats slowly before she gets it suddenly. “Oh good God, no!” She looks like she might puke at the thought. “We aren't incestuous! That is not what we are trying to tell you!” Morana screeches at me, offended. She looks pale at the thought and even Andras looks a bit green around the gills. “Fuck it.” Andras stands up, pulling me to my feet to look into my eyes. “We are vampires.”

She gestured at the student at the front right of the room a few seats over from Moira. The tall, thin boy rose from his seat and smiled toothily around the room. “My name is Demetri Yennen. I am a vampire of the High Top Clan. Our Sire is Varvara Mirovich. I joined this class to follow in my father’s footsteps as the liaison to the local coven and human towns in our territory.”
