Was something wrong happening to me or was I sick again? I felt my head and neck for my temperature, but I wasn't in anyway running temperature. It was normal for me to have bad dreams whenever sickness waltz it's way into my body. "What did you dream about that got you so scared?" Maya asked, laying back on the bed and putting a hand around my tummy. "It was weird." Muttered me as I stared at the ceiling and enjoyed the warmth Maya gave when I turned on my side to back her. "Tell me, I like weird." She urged, pulling me close and enveloping my body in her soft arms.

Her sneezing this time didn't seem like it was because she was sick. "Hatcciuuhh, why am I feeling weird all of a sudden!"

She is seriously sick, I need to see her,” I declared. “What happened to her?” “It’s a mysterious sickness and no one seems to know the cure. I truly want to see her, please. I won’t take long, I will return as soon as possible. Don’t say no,” I requested earnestly, holding his hand.

It's just a sudden jerky feeling that has me thinking: Am I about to be sick from this or simply just losing my mind already?!

I would have done it if I could have fed the ground. I was unable to properly address him as I slowly withdrew my hand. I've already had this embarrassing event. I suddenly came to life because—wasn't that wrong? Perhaps what I did was okay; I'm not abusing him; I'm just inquisitive. Just wondering! Why am I so anxious? I started to say, "Uhm, I'm just curious if--" but stopped because my stomach started to grumble. I'm not sure if I'll feel sick to my stomach with annoyance or gratitude right now.

"Is there something wrong, Aella?" Lily asks, breaking me out of my reverie. I smile at her, planning on excusing myself from this conversation. "No. Everything is perfect. But I think I'm getting a little bit sick.” “Sick?” Lily asks with a look of confusion and concern on her face. “Yes. I feel feverish and a little lightheaded.” I say while faking a little shiver. “So don't you need to go to the hospital or something?” Lily asks in a tone laced with concern.

I call out. Jennifer returns to the room. "Did you need something else?" I force a smile, trying to mask my unease. "I am suddenly not feeling very hungry right now. Thanks for breakfast, though." Jennifer frowns, her concern evident in her eyes. "Are you feeling sick? Should I call a doctor?" I shake my head, not wanting to cause any alarm. "No, no, I'll be fine. Probably just a little bug or something." She doesn't look convinced, but she nods understandingly. "What's wrong?"

“What does that mean?” “Not yet,” Dagon said. “I can’t tell you anything until I’m sure you won’t go blabbing.” “I called you here for help—” “And nearly killed yourself just telling me the little bit that you have. You’re sick.” My jaw set. “Sick…” The words didn’t sit right with me. They felt familiar but not heavy with meaning. Wasn’t there a book when I was a kid that mentioned someone being sick? My mom would read it to me, but I couldn’t exactly remember the words or the meaning.

"You're referring to me being weak, but you can get sick like me." “I don't get sick,” he said, the precise tone in his voice stabbing my perception like a knife. "I've never been sick in my life." I stared for a moment, my mouth would open wide in surprise if I wasn't ashamed. "What a strange man you are," I said. "You don't hug, you don't get sick. This must be what they call the last of its kind."
