For humans who could host wolves they bonded with the beast and hoped to find another wolf to mate with, in hopes of furthering the line, but two wolves could rarely reproduce another wolf. However it was soon discovered certain humans with no wolf could bond with a wolf who already had a host and create other wolves thus, extending the species. If an imprint was accepted then they became mates and would share the power of the wolf. These pairs were extremely strong together and they also made the beast inside them stronger as two humans were more than enough vessel to allow the wolf to thrive and use its power to the fullest of its ability.
