AFTER NIGHT FALLS

AFTER NIGHT FALLS

With her hands groping the walls, she attempted to stand up, but the sharp pain shooting through her legs caused her to collapse. Avery winced as her legs gave way, realizing she had sprained her ankle. Just then, she heard the metallic sounds of gears and locks. For a fleeting moment, silence engulfed the room, followed by creaking noises, and suddenly, a bright light flooded the space. It was so intense that she had to shield her eyes until they adjusted. "The Boss wants you," a deep, husky voice declared, drawing her gaze in its direction. "F*** you!" Avery cursed, glaring defiantly at the stranger. "I won't budge from here unless you tell me where I am."

The Cursed Lycan Princess: Chosen By The Alpha

The Cursed Lycan Princess: Chosen By The Alpha

I nodded toward the book. “Okay, Dad,” Tristan mumbled, adjusting his glasses. I sighed, straightening up. As I turned to leave, something caught my attention, a familiar voice carried on the wind. I followed it, my footsteps quickening as I reached the side of the mansion. “What are we going to do now?” I heard Lyra asked, her voice tinged with worry. I rounded the corner and stopped short. There sat Light, her once white hair now a shimmering brown, her demeanor more poised than I remembered. She looked like someone who’d seen the world and come back with stories etched into her soul.

Balance of Light and Shadow

Balance of Light and Shadow

As I entered from the real world at dawn, and it is now night, I hope this corresponds to the real world and that we only have to survive the day before the moon rises. Serena's light seems to have stabilized. It's no longer flickering, but it is still very dim. At least it's there. Lewana is curled up in my lap and snuggled against my chest. I make sure she is as comfortable as possible as I hold her, determined to not only fight the shadows that threaten her but also keep them from giving her more nightmares. It doesn't feel like an entire night has passed when it starts to get light again, but I'm relieved when it does. I know I have to survive with our girls, but I know if the shadows ne

After Dark

After Dark

The heavy main door of Caden's mansion clicked shut behind me. The sound didn't offer freedom; it sealed me into a new kind of prison. The bright afternoon sun felt too harsh, mocking the darkness that had just settled deep inside me. I was outside, yes, but no longer my own. The air felt thick, heavy with the weight of the deal. My limbs felt weak, like every bone had turned to water. I had agreed. I had sold myself, not just for money now, but for Caden’s sinister game.

Luna’s Rebellion

Luna’s Rebellion

“She sees herself in him. But she also knows… he’s capable of unmaking her.” Kael looked at me. And I nodded. “We prepare for the final confrontation.” ⸻ I went to sleep that night with Liam between us, Kael’s arm around my waist. And I dreamed. Not of the Ash Wolf. But of the After. Of a burned forest. A silver moon bleeding light. A throne made of bones. And on it? Liam. Not crying. Not broken. But older. Crowned in starlight. Eyes glowing white. And his voice—

Second Light

Second Light

Eric believed her without a doubt, and the next second, he took out a lighter and tossed it onto my pile of stuff. The flames roared to life in an instant. "Yvonne has a point, if you're going to leave, then leave everything behind!" As the fire devoured each item, my heart crumbled into pieces. 'Eric, our decade of love is now just ashes,' I thought. I climbed into the car by myself, gazing at the house I had called home for so many years as it slowly disappeared from view. I quickly pulled out my phone and dialed a number. "Mr. Lloyd, I'd like to work for your company."

Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

Lurking In The Dark - Book 1

Little light was better than no light at all. Reese Strahl was the first to tear up the blackness of the night. He let the cone wander over the floor, over leaves, rubbish that had not been properly disposed of, all the way to the corner where a few old wooden boxes were stacked directly against the wall. "You are doing exactly what I say now, understand?" "No idea. In your eyes I am hardly more intelligent than plankton, so tell me. " That gave another evil look. “You take the net. If something should come of it, you throw it over it, of course so far? "

Chasing Sunlight

Chasing Sunlight

"There's good in the world still, Aurora. You are still good. I know it doesn't seem like it right now, but I know you, and you're stronger than this. Don't let this break you. Don't let this break us." He kissed the top of my head again and let his lips linger there as he slowly swayed us. My crying slowed down and my breathing began to steady after multiple deep breaths. He's right. I'm not spent, I'm just tired. I'm not weak, I'm just bent out of shape currently. Yes, there's bad in the world, but there cannot be darkness without light. I'm thankful to be able to see things in a new light now. I can appreciate the light more, and I can appreciate the darkness as well. After all, it was th

Lycan's Ferous concubine

Lycan's Ferous concubine

My eyes travel amongst the remaining but, there was still no sight of Light. "King Alister, seems like you've already lost your concubine," Alpha Greg mumbled in an optimistic voice. "What do you expect, she's human after all," he added and I clenched my fist about to snap when something pulled my attention. LIGHT'S POV Laying on the cold floor, I was unable to see what was happening around me since it was dark, but I could hear the screams of people and the hissing sounds of arrows flying through the air.

 The King of Beasts

The King of Beasts

I curled into myself on my side of bed, my fingers fluttering over my stomach. After the dark, comes the light. Fabiano could do anything he wanted but I wouldn’t let him snatch my light away this time. I won’t let him spread his darkness in my light. After the dark, comes the light. ***
