Everywhere was silent. My eyes opened again and the only thing I could see above me were lights, it was so bright I could feel the heat radiating from it. Of course, I didn't know that humans call it the sun. I could only marvel at it trying to understand how the light could radiate heat. The ones in the facility don't do that, it was oddly strange. Could this be my afterlife? Forcing myself to sit up, I was shocked to see my surroundings covered up in smoke. Even the grounds were as black as the night as if some explosion happened. The smell of coal somehow filled me with pleasure which is strange cause no one takes pleasure in inhaling smoke.

The light swallowed me whole, and the screams of men and women faded into silence. I opened my eyes and found myself standing in a place filled with silver light, somewhere different, yet similar to where I had met Althea. It was so beautiful and the sky above glowed with a soft, endless moonlight. It was calm here, yet my chest still heaved with grief and rage. When I turned around, I saw a beautiful woman beside me.
