My Sweet Surrender (Aftermath Series #1)

My Sweet Surrender (Aftermath Series #1)

The title said 'The Fault in Our Stars'. "I think you'd like this one. But don't get your hopes up..." Caleb smiled. I held the book to my chest and thanked him. Getting my hands on a new book is something close to magical for me. I finally bid Caleb goodbye, and the next thing I know...the shotgun seat of the truck was right in front of me. Dom went out and held the door open. I mindlessly entered the vehicle while holding the book, reading its sypnosis. I could feel Dom's cold stare linger at what I'm holding before he went back to the driver's seat.

When Lightening Strikes

When Lightening Strikes

Resting her head against her knees she fell asleep. Later on, she woke up with her body aching from sleeping in that position. She opened the closet door to see the sky dyed pink, red, orange and a hint of purple. She wasn’t sure what time it was. She opened the door to the room that lead out to wards the kitchen. the Clock on the stove blinked 7:45. She knew from the place the sky filled with color that she had slept through the night. Her head throbbed with pain. Everyone inside was asleep. This was her chance to leave. She crept to the back door. There was a security pin on it. this was something new.

Shadow Dweller: The Coming of The Light

Would Drake save her? Walking out the door she sat down on the grass and enjoyed the warmth from the day and watched the sunset. It was getting cooler, she was getting cold, but she wanted to see if these White Dwellers came around, she wanted to see if it was Nick that came. She hoped she would see him, she wanted to see him. “Light Dwellers approaching!” someone yelled, alarming starting blaring.

Whispers of Sikar

Whispers of Sikar

"Show me something." There was a moment of silence like an eternity. Lyda's eyes were burning in anticipation. Just then, she heard another series of voices coming from behind her. Lyda turned around to see a faint light appearing in the dark distance. It grew until it formed a pillar of light that was almost too bright to look at, and yet, it was still stifled by the heavy darkness. It looked almost like an opening doorway.

The Beastly Lycan's Unwanted Wife

The Beastly Lycan's Unwanted Wife

The light seemed to radiate a sense of peace and healing as if it were indeed taking away his suffering. In the night, he is glowing like a beacon of hope, his pain and suffering slowly fading away. The light envelops him, creating a sense of tranquility and serenity in the midst of chaos. It's as if all the burdens he carried have been lifted, leaving behind a renewed spirit ready to embrace life once again. Slowly, the light started dimming as Richard's frame slowly landed on the ground with all his body healed—not even a single scar left on his body—with a faint glow still lighting him up as a reminder of the transformation he had undergone.

The Rejected Alpha's Human Mate

The Rejected Alpha's Human Mate

Light said. In the heart of the hidden sanctuary, where secrets and shadows intertwined, a complex tapestry of emotions played out within Athena's heart. As the soft light of the ethereal crystals cast dancing patterns on the walls, Athena stood facing Light, her gaze holding a mix of sincerity and deception. Light's eyes searched Athena's face, her expression a blend of curiosity and concern. "Athena," she repeated again,, her voice gentle yet probing, "I've noticed how you stand by Ardolf's side. There's an intensity in your eyes when you look at him. Is there something more between you two?"

Her Light and My Darkness

Her Light and My Darkness

He murmured, "She's just lying there anyway, like she's already gone, not using her eyes. Might as well give them to someone who really needs them." A shadow of pity passed over the doctor's face as he said, "But… What if Ms. Yocelyn Carden wakes up one day?" "Then we'll cross that bridge when we get to it." In that instant, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Was Samuel planning to give my cornea to Amelia? Was he willing to leave me blind? I was rooted to the spot, my mind reeling, as I slowly backed away from Samuel. Watching them together, so lovey-dovey, a wave of icy dread spread through me.

Entangled with my sister's ex

Entangled with my sister's ex

**Emma's POV** A blinding light seared through my eyelids, wrenching me from the abyss of unconsciousness. My eyes fluttered open, squinting against the harsh illumination that seemed to burn from every direction. I blinked rapidly as my vision adjusted, finding myself no longer in Nicholas's home but in a forest drenched in an ethereal glow. The trees around me emanated a soft, pulsating light, their leaves shimmering like fragments of fallen stars.

The Unwanted Sister's Alpha King

The Unwanted Sister's Alpha King

Fear gripped my heart, but then I heard Aura’s voice in my mind, clear and resolute, **“Use your light.” I focused on the warmth that emanated deep within my core, letting it build and spread until it engulfed me. The dark rogues hesitated, sensing the change, but it was too late for them. I released the light in a blinding, radiant wave. The rogues let out a collective howl of agony as the light consumed them, turning them to ash.

I'm glad i stuck it out. yes, the book is long, and at times, it does drag on, but what the author did, they did justice to the story itself. unlike most books, the endings are always a letdown. this author knew how to conclude it. continued in comments

It is a long book but I didn’t feel like it dragged out because it was so full of details and the author made sure to tie up any loose ends so it didn’t leave you wondering. Will definitely be sticking around for the fantasy version of it.

SHADOW OF THE PAST: THE CURSED ALPHA

SHADOW OF THE PAST: THE CURSED ALPHA

The letters glowed brighter as I chanted. Mabel stepped back nervously. “I can't wait to remember everything” I smiled. “Trust me, sister. I can't wait too.” A beam of light shot from the book, wrapping around Mabel. She gasped, her body lifting slightly off the ground. The light grew stronger, blinding us for a moment. When it faded, she stood, her form now different. Her hair shimmered like starlight, longer and flowing. Her eyes glowed with silver fire. Her aura was powerful, almost divine.
