The Last Piece of my Soul

The Last Piece of my Soul

“All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That's how far the world is from where I am. Just one bad day.” Never in my life did I believe there would be a day when a quote from a comic would relate so closely to me. But recently, I started feeling that the bad days in my life are far more than the good. I was so tired of fighting to keep my sanity. To fight to stay afloat of the sea of misery that was pulling me to its depths with every passing day. I didn’t think I had more strength to swim. I gave up.

I like it a lot. I’ve always liked a novel where our MC gets a second chance at life and is not completely OP. She’s completely traumatised from her first life but she’s still trying to survive. You write well and I can’t wait to read more

Its an amazing, intriguing story that keeps one invested in the meaningful words and engaging scenarios. Appropriate emotions have been beautifully conveyed by the author through her writing. Truly, a wonderful piece! Loving it and will continue reading further....!

The Death That Drove Him Insane

The Death That Drove Him Insane

Hah! Right behind them, my soul was so shattered I could barely stay upright. He knew all along. He chose to abandon me in that villa. I learned that my heart could still ache, even after death. Daniel's face drained of all color. He clenched his fists, trying to hold himself back. Just then, his eyes became bloodshot with insanity as he lunged forward and grabbed her by the neck.

Chaotic Obsession

Chaotic Obsession

“It’s us! That’s me in the middle, and you—and him! Pancake guy!” Alli’s throat caught. She took the paper, studying it. It was chaos, really. Wild scribbles. Wavy lines. No real sense of proportion. But she knew instantly who was who. Three stick figures: the tallest one with blonde hair and what looked like a beard and motor oil stains on his shirt; the shortest with impossibly long arms and pancake wheels beneath his feet; and her—with what appeared to be coffee in one hand and a heart drawn between her and Johnny’s stick figure in crayon red.

Indestructible

The faint noises coming from there brought her back to her senses. She frown as she curiously walked back again. She hid behind a tall trash bin when she saw five men standing. One was holding a bat with what she thought was covered in blood. Her eyes grew bigger when she saw a guy kneeling in front of them. His body was covered in bruises and blood dripping from his head. He couldn't even open one of his eyes. "Man, I thought you were as strong as what those bastards said, but seeing you kneeling like this. Those were clear bullshits." one of the guys said which caused the other guys to laugh.

Insatiable

I didn't respond to her call, dragging my feet behind me, I waved a small greeting before walking past her and into the living room. I simply ignored Cassandra's accountant boyfriend and made myself comfortable on an empty couch. I could see him gawking at me from the corner of my eye, he thought I was a lunatic, someone who shouldn't be walking the streets without a straight jacket on. The thought made me laugh audibly, as expected he moved to the far side of the sofa. I shrugged, blowing my nose on a piece of tissue. "I've brought popcorn." Cassandra chirped putting a bowl of popcorn on the dining table. Squirting some hand sanitizer, I dug right in.

Escaping My Arranged Marriage With My Biker Student

Escaping My Arranged Marriage With My Biker Student

Joker POV **This chapter contains theme like the last** Standin' over the carnage, my breath comin' in short, ragged bursts, I feel alive. Every part of me is buzzin', vibratin' with the madness that’s been buildin' for hours. But it’s not enough. Not yet. It won't be until I have 'er back! I have to get 'er! A whimper breaks through my thoughts, pulling me to a door down the hall. It’s locked. I step closer, my hands steady despite the madness buzzin' through me. I unlock the door slowly, savoring the tension in the air.

When Silence Met Madness

When Silence Met Madness

"If I were her, I'd probably pretend to be mute and stay silent for years too. That voice is enough to make anyone want to gouge their own ears out!" My desk was kicked over, sending all the books scattering across the floor. Alice yanked my hair hard, then she raised her hand and slapped me across the face. "I'm talking to you, Summer! Your mute act is over, and now you're deaf? Can't hear anyone, right?" I shoved her with all my strength. "Let go of me!"

Lunatic

“Aw, and here I was hoping the ‘sir’ would stay. Yes, I’ll get it, but we need to discuss the problem that thing presents.” “That is not the problem. The dickwad is the problem,” Beth says with her hands on her hips. Again I felt that nice warm, fuzzy feeling. “You’re both right. The notebook and Kirk are the problems. Which is why I want to at least destroy the notebook. Kirk, I will figure out what to do with later.” “So you don’t think you’re crazy anymore?” Matt asks. “Is one every sure they’re not insane? How can we really know what we experience in this world is the actual reality of the situation?” I ask back.

Lost in madness

Lost in madness

"We agreed we would stop deceiving ourselves." I put distance between us, but he's still looking at me like I'm something precious he thought he'd lost forever. "Andrew, when are you going to let me go?" His expression changes, becomes harder, more dangerous. "Why don't you twist a knife in my chest and find out?" The threat in his voice makes me shiver, but I force myself to glare back at him. "Stop being childish. I'm serious." "So am I." He walks over to the bar and pours champagne into two glasses. His movements are controlled, precise, but I can see the tension in his shoulders.

The madness of life

The madness of life

I escaped from the madness that reigned in the Sanctuary… "Did you run from madness to the Refuge because madness is in you?" the same mutant said. "What do you mean?" "We believe that madness is reflected in the eyes of a madman when he sees madness in reality… "You mean there's no such thing as madness?" "I mean, we see what we believe!" the mutant concluded. – So, child of the tribe "Born in darkness"! Welcome to the Range!
