Worth Fighting For
If there was one thing I had learnt about Josh in the time that I'd known him, it was that he wasn't settled on either side of the flight/fight response.
In times when he didn't need to, he picked fight on a voluntary basis in order to respond to his own mind. And in times like this, when he needed people around him, and when his mind was empty, he walked away and pretended that nothing happened.

"It's fine, Tom," I looked back up the stairs with the hope that Josh would come back down. But it had been over an hour, and we'd all refused to continue our movie night with him shutting himself out upstairs.
