Stefan with a faint smile replied, "For your own good son. Uncle wants you to be safe." Inka shouted, "No. Uncle can't do this to me. Bad uncle." The young girl was getting rebellious, Stefan again said, "Bring it by force." Ardi nodded and he then carried the girl while climbing the stairs as if the girl's weight was like cotton. As soon as they arrived in front of Inka's room, Inka was again surprised by two guards who opened her room. He was invited to enter and how amazed he was now when he saw that his room had security installed on the door. He quickly understood that if he only used his fingerprints, the door would open.

Totally his fault for stopping without warning. “You asked where Sir’s room is, didn’t you?” I fixed my hair and muttered, “Yeah.” “This is it.” I looked up—and my jaw dropped. Compared to the other doors we passed, this one was massive and jet black. It looked like three people standing on top of each other wouldn’t even reach its height. Seriously, who makes a bedroom door this huge? How does Red even open it without getting dragged with it? “You’re quiet. Are you amazed?” Nicolas asked.

The house white a three-storey building painted white, with lovely flowers surrounding it. The interior was painted a blend of cream and chocolate, giving it a homey feel. Killian sure did have a taste for houses, Mayeli thought. “The door is automatic”, Killian said, replying to her question. Mayeli turned to look at the door again. She noticed a weird keypad, and it suddenly made sense.

He gets out, we both gaze up at the sky high castle towers, and take it all in. My eyes find the front steps, I grab my messenger bag from the car. I walk up to the front door. Am I supposed to knock or ring something? The castle security seems up to date with the latest technology. There’s a little black box with a camera, and a doorbell. I push the button.

“Gamma Dowell instructed that I assist you on your way home, would it be fine?” “Of course. Is the mansion ready?” “It is.” ============ “We’re here.” Ian’s loud and deep voice was muffled behind the closed doors of the carriage. Even so, I nodded my head as my mouth hung open. "Here, here?" "Yes." Ian screamed something again, and the sound of metal scratching against the stone floor made way to my ears. The gate opened up. We were entering a gate that looks similar to the gate of the Northern Kingdom. The gate was so big and was made of metal and wood. Probably mahogany and iron, it took four men to open it.

Then every light in the mansion went out. Emergency lights flickered on, turning everything red. "What…" I started. Metal shutters slammed down over every window. The sound was deafening. Like thunder rolling through the house. "Sir!" Ivan shouted. "The doors! They are locked!" I ran to the main entrance. Pulled on the handle but it would’nt budge. "Break it down!" I ordered. Three guards rammed their shoulders against it but the door did not move. It was reinforced steel, designed to withstand attacks.

That would be one less job on the market to more than likely turn me away. I ring the doorbell when I approach, marvelling at how intricate something as simple as a front door can be. It's huge, nearly as big as my beat up old Jetta, with dainty filigree etched into the wood. A large oval window covered in stained glass roses sits in the center. On top of the regular doorbell, they have a state of the art security bell with an intercom. "State your name, please," a man's voice says and I jolt in place.

Isabella quickly refused, "I'm not cold." Vincent nodded, "Don't take it off, it's just a few steps, we'll be there soon." Isabella stopped refusing upon hearing this and silently followed Vincent. They walked through the meticulously groomed courtyard, and Vincent stood in front of the door and entered the passcode. "The door code is 1212, remember it." Isabella nodded, then silently repeated it twice in her mind. Opening the door, the first thing that caught their eyes was a spacious hall, elegantly decorated with no excess.

His face turned severe, “I’ll be fine, but we need to hurry. I’m sure Draco and Az will catch up.” I wanted to agree, but the worry in his eyes rendered me speechless. We sprinted through the castle gardens, the front doors looming closer and closer with each step. It was hard to bask in the sweet aroma of flowers knowing that the city was currently a blood bath. The door to the castle was made of both gold and silver, split directly down the center. A moon was carved into the left, whilst a sun occupied the right. It swung open as I placed my hand against it, releasing a sigh as though it had been waiting for me.

“When Cait starts walking.” “Yeah. We live in a treehouse. That’s gonna be a disaster.” He’s nodding. “I’ve been thinking about putting up a net.” “A net?” “Like under a tightrope. And I’m going to be installing safety gates in all the doors as soon as they come in.” “You ordered them already?” He grunts in the affirmative. My eyes narrow. “How?” He reaches out to tug the zipper of Cait’s onesie even though it’s zipped all the way up. He’s ducking the question. “You borrowed a phone, didn’t you? Whose?”
