I rubbed my temples and sighed loudly, tapping my fingers on the armrest. Why was she even bothered about being seen with me ‘cheating’. Half of this so-called elite had secrets of their own too, one I knew too well. But they were also master hypocrites, pointing fingers at people when they themselves had done something worse. But Anya was different. She was good. I’d known that since high school. It made sense that the idea of cheating unsettled her. Too bad her husband was a bastard who didn’t deserve her. Nazu slapped Anya one more time, leaving an imprint of her palm on Anya's cheek. "You failed to get your man and keep him all to yourself, is that why you're going after Caden now?! You greedy bitch!" Nazu hissed. Anya lowered her gaze, her eyes brimming with tears. "What was I supposed to do? I lost Yuka. I can't just sit back and do nothing" she mumbled.
