Jameson’s right eye began to twitch, and his fists were clenched at his sides, knuckles turning white. He snarled in contempt, “You can’t do anything to me. I own this team.”
Charles chimed in, “That won’t save you, Jameson.”
A sudden knock on the doorframe alerted us to the arrival of a rather nervous-looking young girl, who announced to the room, “Sir, the police have arrived, and they have a warrant for Martin. You had better come quickly. He’s attempting to resist them.”
