Chapter 101: Our Perfect Plan Diana’s POV We arrived at the police station late in the morning. The air smelled like burnt fuel and something bitter. Maybe it was just my fear. Jackson helped open the car door for me. Xander walked close behind, his eyes moving everywhere. He didn’t say much. He didn’t need to. I could feel the worry in him. It matched mine. We walked through the glass doors. The building was busy. Officers moved up and down. Phones rang. Someone was crying down the hall. Someone else was shouting. It felt like chaos…But I knew this was the only place that could keep us safe.

Aaron’s POV I sat there in the small, sterile room, my hands shaking. My jacket felt too heavy, my chest tight. Across from me, the police officer had a notebook and a pen, flipping through pages like he already knew I was trouble. His eyes were sharp, but he didn’t look angry yet. Just… watchful. “Tell me again,” he said slowly, tapping the pen against his notebook, “you said what happened to Mr. Paul Baxter?”

He was probably one of those guys who had been on the force so long that he wasn't going to risk getting in a gunfight with two girls on a B&E at an abandoned house. "Ladies, I'm afraid you're trespassing," he said in a tired voice. "And I'll bet you were going to tell me how the door was all broken by the time you got here?"

Michael POV: I left the house to the care of Mrs. Changretta and got started with my plan for the day. I headed to the Precinct. it was the one I had spent close to 24 hours the day before, it felt awkward going back there but some things had to be done. I pulled up in front of the police station and walked in. As expected they paused what they were all doing and stared at me briefly, all of them bemused to see me and wondered what I could want.

It's baffling how my professor fails to identify him. Me: Call 911, he's in my classroom. Gage: What? Who's in your classroom, Kai? Damn, my brother can be so clueless sometimes. The atmosphere was right for me to place my request firmly now in person.

“I didn’t kill her,” Neo yelled at the top of his voice. Struggling to free himself from the grips of the two hefty-looking police officers, “You’d better keep your mouth shut,” one of the two police officers fired back as they dragged him out of the building. Despite being caught in the act, how is he still insisting on his innocence?” the other police officers said in disbelief. “I know, right? I think he needs to be checked,” the first police officer replied. Neo frowned as the police officers pulled him past the small crowd that had gathered in front of the house into the police van.
