**** I silently entered through the window, not bothering to shut it, knowing that the noise would definitely wake up Demetrius. I gently removed the pillow I put into Demetrius' arms in place of me and quietly entered the silky sheets. Immediately finding warmth in his body, I snuggled closer to him and smiled, it didn't take long before I was fast asleep.

She nearly jumped out of bed the moment she recognized a dark figure. She sat up and shrank away. Just as she was about to scream for help, Karl spoke up, “Did I wake you?” After recognizing his voice, she immediately suppressed the urge to scream. She flicked on the bedside lamp and asked him, “Why are you here? What time is it?” Karl sat down by the edge of the bed and sighed. “I can't sleep. My insomnia has been getting worse lately.” Insomnia… “How long has it been?” “Since you left.”

Tomorrow, those pictures will probably be on the front page of the newspaper. Sarah hung up, her mind filled with complicated thoughts. Sarah couldn't sleep, her head ached. Curled in Colton’s arms in bed, my head laid on his chest as I listen to that steady rhythm of his heartbeat, I doze in and out of peaceful and contented slumber. Something keeps waking me when I start to fall deeply, and I can’t seem to put my finger on it. Like a dream or a feeling that’s just out of sight and seems to jump in to haul me back whenever my consciousness drifts away. An unease or a threatening nightmare maybe, it’s definitely a sense of unease and try as I might, I can’t seem to fall into blissful darkness for any length of time. It’s almost dawn and I have barely dozed for more than twenty-minute slots at a time. I’m frustrated and exhausted, yet I can’t seem to rest.

I reply. "Oh... well, that makes a lot of sense too," he mumbles, then takes a deep breath when I remain silent. "I have insomnia, Isabella, if you must know. I didn't 'wake up earlier' today, I just didn't sleep at all. And it's a common occurrence." "Why are you hiding it from me then, is it that big of a deal?" I ask, starting to get a little worried, "Tell me, Liam." "It's whatever, I just don't like being interrogated," he says, rolling his eyes, "Can I go to sleep now?”

I sat up slowly and reached for the water on the nightstand, but the glass was empty. I turned my head and froze when I saw Adam on the floor, doing push ups like a completely unwell person. His shirt was off, his back flexing with each movement, his hair falling over his forehead as he kept going like sleep was a rumour he refused to believe in. I grabbed my phone and checked the time, “Adam.” He kept moving, “what?” “It’s almost seven in the morning.” “I know.” “You haven’t slept a wink since last night.” He stopped, sat back on his heels, and dragged one hand through his hair, “I know. I have insomnia.”
