In India~ Inspector Gaikwad's pov: I was sitting in my office underneath my fan that was rotating ever so screechy,. My head was in knots as I was flipping through file after file trying to get more information on this murderer. I knew it was not going to be easy to catch him! It was a professional killer. I got up from my chair feeling very frustrated. I went up to the coffee machine to get a cup of coffee to fuel me up as I didn't get that much sleep the previous night while studying this case. I couldn't waste any time at all in this case.

"Quintus Noone." The Inspector looked like he had been bitch-slapped. He took out his mobile and punched in a number. I overheard him talking to his superintendent. I don't know what was said to him, but I still have many friends in high places, people who respect what I did for a living. When the call finished, the Inspector was a chastened man, but before he could articulate anything, one of his team shouted from the scene of the fallen refrigerator. "I haven't finished with you yet."

He performed a wave and slashed his sword, the movement akin to the curve of a crescent moon. “Gggh…!” Several bodyguards who were in the way shook, clutched their throats, and instantly collapsed to the ground. This strange inspector had swords in both hands. He then quickly walked to where Harvey was. However, Harvey retreated quickly, all the while holding Mandy in his arms. At the same time, he also protected Xynthia and pushed her behind him. The distance between him and the strange inspector instantly grew further apart. “Who?!” Senior Zimmer unconsciously yelled.

Each held a different number in their hands. “Are you alright, Mrs. Barrington?” the inspector asked, eyeing me with concern. “Could… could I ask them to remove the caps?” He nodded. The officer in charge pressed a button to speak to the men. “All of you, remove the caps and face forward.” They did as he instructed, and I moved closer to the glass partition to take a long, hard look at the men. I recognized him immediately. “Number three.” “For the record, Mrs. Barrington pointed out participant number three.” Inspector Gordon spoke into a recorder. “Sergeant, let them move to the right.”

As we made our way through the basement, i couldn't help but feel a sense of nervous excitement. we were close to bringing an end to Dr. Ingres ’ reign of terror, and i was proud to be a part of the team that was making it happen. With a deep breath, i focused my thoughts on the mission at hand, determined to do my part and bring the mad scientist to justice. As we approached the staircase leading up to the main part of the castle, Inspector Chris and Marcus stepped forward. Chris handed each of us a small earpiece, explaining that it would be used for communication as we made our

‘I don’t know,’ he repeated same words again and again. Anup was frustrating the police as he refused to tell them anything about the case. The inspector decided to play a ploy. He told everyone to vacate the room. Now only Anup and the inspector were present. The inspector took out his pistol and kept its muzzle on Anup’s temple. Anup could feel the cold steel of the pistol pressing against his temple. The inspector said to him that he had no option but to shoot him because he was of no use to the police. He said he was prepared to give him one more chance. He would count to five. If Anup did not agree to reveal the whereabouts of his associates, the inspector will pull the trigger. When in

Caleb followed calmly behind him, adjusting his sleeves like nothing about this situation was unusual at all. Silence swallowed the room. The inspector went very still. So did I. I stared at them. What? How? When did they get back? Ragnar tilted his head slightly. “Is there a problem?” The inspector blinked once. Then twice. “No,” he said quickly, stepping back. “No problem at all.” He bowed, too fast, too embarrassed and he immediately left the room. The door shut behind him. Then, silence fell again. I turned slowly to Ragnar and Caleb. “What just happened?”

Not even the man she once thought she would spend her life with. Evening descended quietly. The city lights flickered on one by one, casting long shadows across the alleyways. Back at the police station, the air felt tense with defeat. Most officers had left for the day, but Inspector Mahendra remained, staring at a monitor filled with grainy security footage. He clicked through each clip again and again, frustration tightening around his jaw. “This is useless,” he muttered. Then something caught his eye—something he had dismissed earlier as irrelevant. He leaned forward.

I stood up, my legs feeling heavier with each step as we moved toward the small observation room where the DNA team had been working. “Inspector, before we proceed...” I started, but she held up a hand to silence me. “Mr. Jacob, I suggest you prepare yourself for whatever we’re about to find out.” I nodded reluctantly, my mind racing with dread. Whatever was about to be revealed could change everything…and I wasn’t sure I was ready for it. The inspector adjusted her glasses, her sharp gaze piercing into mine. She stood across the interrogation table, her presence commanding. For a moment, I wondered if she could see right through me.
