"urrrrgh," I scanned the room until my eyes fell on the bookrack in front of me. "This!" I pull out one of the novels. “Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough,” he said immediately, without even glancing at it. He could tell which of the books were missing by just looking at the rest on the rack. “You read it?” There's suspicion in his tone.

My name is Joseph Chapman. I met one of my best friends, Lance Ellis, in college. When the holidays came around, he invited me over to his place. Lance lived with his mom. It was just the two of them in a big house. The moment I stepped inside, I noticed a pair of women's high heels sitting neatly on the shoe rack. Inside one of the heels was a pair of worn stockings. They looked… weirdly tempting. While Lance was not paying attention, I quietly reached out, picked up the stockings, and brought them to my nose. I breathed in.

I hesitated for a moment before pushing it open with a creak. The room was dimly lit with a few flickering candles, casting eerie shadows on the walls. I could feel the hairs on the back of my neck standing up as I scanned the room. It was empty, except for a dusty book lying open on a small wooden table. I stepped closer, my curiosity getting the better of me, and my eyes scanned the pages of the book. The pages were covered in intricate symbols and diagrams, something I had never seen before. The room had an inexplicable smell, a mix of sandalwood and something unpleasant, sending a chill down my spine.

As I listened to the news anchor's report, I could not help but think there was some truth to the saying that after the storm is when the flowers bloomed. When did I start getting suspicious of Vonn and his crew? Oh, right. It was after I handed over $15,000 to some dude claiming to be Vonn's ex. The more I mulled it over, the more things did not add up. I headed to the police station to share my suspicions. I thought they would laugh me off, but boy, was I in for a surprise. It turned out there had been a string of killings in town, and all the victims were rich, bachelor types living alone.

The library was quiet, the afternoon sunlight filtering through the stained-glass windows. Anna sat alone at the far corner, the mysterious book, The Reflection Game, spread open before her. Her finger traced the intricate designs on the yellowed pages, her heart pounding with both excitement and unease. The cryptic instructions whispered to her, their meaning elusive but tantalizingly close. She didn’t understand why she felt so drawn to the book, but she couldn’t let it go. It was as if the book had chosen her, as if it were calling her to uncover its secrets.

I smiled and brought out a new novel I got from the store the other day and opened the first chapter to read. There are like ten minutes before assembly starts so I can read at least a chapter or two before it starts. ‘Hmm… interesting’ i thought to myself. “Why didn't I know about this book already?” I muttered under my breath and turned to the next page. “Very interesting.” “I know it is,” I turned my head to see Chris put his bag on the desk beside me and sat down on the chair. “Even though I haven't read it, I know it is interesting”

“Johnny this book is Iris’s grandmothers, but more importantly that plinth is in the woods near the house to” We both look at each other for a few moments contemplating this discovery. This book, this unassuming book has suddenly become the key to unlock but also answers to secrets unknown. “I wonder who wrote it” Eric asks me “Well this was our next thing to look into, to be honest it has been a welcome distraction for me and Rae. You are welcome to join us in looking for clues? We seem to be a modern Sherlock Holmes supernatural detective group” I chuckle “I’d like that actually. It would be nice to have things to show Iris when she wakes up.”

I thought again knowing truly well that Scott has the attitude that surely makes him have a lot of enemies I heaved a sigh after so much guessing and all I then decided to check her bag for more I picked up her bag and opened it gently I searched the bag throughly for more but found none I was pissed off I checked in between her books one after the other but still couldn't find any After some minutes of searching, I decided to put in her books back I packed all her books into the and closed it up As I raised up the bag to put it in a better position on the bed, I saw something unique It was not a paper like before but something different... "What is this?" I furrowed my brow picking it up .

I don't know why, but I'm really engrossed in reading mystery books especially when I could always figure out who the suspect is before the detective could even tell who it was in the end. I traced my fingers at the leaves of the books that are stored in the bookshelves as I read their titles until I came across a book which made me curious of it's title. It was called Isoria with a fantasy like book cover with golden specks laid across it. I then knew that it's a book I will never regret reading. I was tempted to buy at least two or more books. I saw a lot of books that I want to read, but I don't want to abuse my mom's kindness. I wasn't supposed to be allowed to buy any book right now.

“Only because it’s an emergency.” Elmo rubbed his eyes, and blinked away fatigue. As his vision cleared he found himself looking at Lucas’ bookshelf, and his heart sank as he surveyed the spines of books his friend loved so much. There were copies of The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew, The Three Investigators and The Secret Seven, as well as modern mystery thrillers by authors such as Lee Child and James Patterson. But there were also older novels that Elmo recalled as movies on TCM but had never read. He saw Treasure Island and Ivanhoe, Tom Sawyer and Robinson Crusoe.
