The magical artifact glowed brightly, lending the imperial forces renewed vigor as they charged towards the remaining outlaws. Suddenly, there was a loud piercing screech and a large shadow fell on the outlaws as an enormous creature blocked the sun.

Even though it had no eyeballs, I could tell that it was staring right at me. I chucked my notebook into my pocket and headed straight for the door. The shadow surged forward towards me. I chanted the light spell again, but the fire that came out did nothing to the shadow. I ran around the chairs and table, hoping to block it, but it just went through them. It cornered me easily, its body towering, tendrils of shadow stretching to block every exit. Its hollow eyes locked on me as it lunged. I braced for the impact—

There were lots of books of different genres. They were arranged section by section, the room looked like it was always being cleaned by someone every day. I picked up a book I've been longing to read right from childhood. The book has been drawing me closer to reading it, but it was a limited edition, so I had no access to the full book. I quickly took it out, closed the door, and went to the sitting room to start reading the interesting book. It talks about a young lady who found love and happiness from where she least expected it.
