All primary data presumed lost.” “Presumed?” He hesitated. “ARES’s signal was detected post-collapse. He’s alive. But so is Subject Athena.” Hekate smiled faintly. “Of course she is. She always survives.” “And the protocol?” “She doesn’t know the trigger,” Hekate said. “But ARES does.”

They were on the woman lying unconscious on the couch inside, Eve. Bandaged. Bruised. But alive. And tethered to an IV drip, restrained at the wrists.

They didn’t even dare look up. Running would have been suicide. They knew it. Everyone knew the Alpha’s speed was death itself. “Leave,” I said, cold and final. “And never show your faces again.” They didn’t wait for a second command. All three scrambled up and bolted toward the exit so fast they tripped over each other, nearly falling on the way out. Their footsteps faded into frantic echoes, swallowed by the night. Silence followed. I turned to her. Eve was still on the floor, her legs folded beneath her like they couldn’t hold her weight. Her hair was tangled, her face streaked with sweat and tears. Dirt smudged her clothes. She looked exhausted, shaken, and completely undone.

Eve was so excited, her words were running into each other, and I felt the familiar thrill of arousal begin to overcome my senses as her animated face took my breath away.

The thought of never meeting Ian again and the guilt of not uniting Ian with his true soulmate tortured him slowly. "Host?" June looked up and weakly smiled at the teenage girl dressed in a white tight suit. She was Venus his system. He had seen her physical form whenever he came to Love Crop. "Hey Venus," he said and wiped his face. "Are you not feeling good?" She asked, her robotic voice was the only thing that reminded June she is not real. June gave her a smile, avoiding her scarlet eyes, "I am fine." He assured. Venus gave a nod and said, "I came to say goodbye. It has been a pleasure working with you, host."

Eve turned to look at us. "I will never accept defeat. The scientist is dead, and if you kill me now, any hope for your children's recovery will vanish. If you go against me, I will make sure they die painfully," she threatened, and a chill ran through my spine as I gazed at her. The evil smirk on her face made it clear she meant every word. "How could you? How could you be so heartless?" Nicolas roared, filled with agony as he watched Eve. “And you… how fortunate you are to be discovering your true mother,” she remarked, and I could see Nicolas pale at her words, along with Silvo.

She secretly clenched her fist as her murderous intent towards Eve's father who's named Xian rose. Seeing that she was silent, Eve let out a laugh as she patted her shoulder. “It's already up to you, my golden backer to wipe the Marvick Clan. Hehe, just don't kill those innocent people even if they are in the Marvick Clan.” Evelyn nodded her head. “I know, I understand. However, what about Mr. Valcarcel? Do you want me to kill him?” Eve shook her head. “No, it's fine. You can't defeat him anyway ( you'll fall in love instead).”
