Invincible Issue #65 Novels & Stories

There are six of them, and they're all fighting against one man. The man I called Papa put up a good fight, taking down the nightcrawlers one by one. Just as I thought he was going to win, one of the nightcrawlers stabbed him in his back as he was tackling another to the ground. Blood spilled from the corner of his mouth before he dropped on his knees and fell to the ground and the night sky split open with thunder. The explosive crack ringing in my ears as I witnesses the nightcrawlers gather around him, then set papa's body on fire.

I needed to know why he was acting like this. “They finished the chant, Robin. Like I said, they’re Invokers. They call on spirits from the dead to fight their battles. Every hit they land is equivalent to about a hundred souls. You won’t survive it if even two hits land on you, so we need to leave.” My eyes widened. I never knew people like this existed. How were we supposed to get out of here now? I didn’t even finish the thought before I felt something aimed at us. Before I could register what it was, Damon shoved me aside just as a massive surge of energy passed between us and slammed into a nearby tree, completely shattering it.

I don’t move a muscle and just hold the small child as he nears, I whisper to him, “close your eyes tightly.” I release him and his eyes are closed, I turn quicky and plunge my clawed hand into the mans chest and pull his heart out, I hold it up to his blinking eyes, “you should have used this for good deeds, you sick fuck,” his eyes go wide and he slumps down to the floor. I threw his still beating heart down on top of him and turned, scooping up the boy and hand him to Steve. My non-bloodied hand lands on the child’s head, blue light surrounds him as my power heals his little body. I look at Steve “Find him some clothes and get him out of here,” he doesn’t move till I remove my hand fr

his hand clutching the neck of Beta Talon lifts him from the floor. Don’t know what Titan is about to do to him. But the door suddenly opens and warriors flood in, holding different weapons. I try to get a better glance at what’s going on when a lot of them attack me, stabbing into every part of my body. My body protested, trying to fight them off or survive, but there wasn't any space as the men crowded me. The loud voice of terror of Titan tears through the air. And the men all cease. They move away, leaving every part of me to bleed. My body shivers as every part of me burns. Vance tries to heal me but can’t. What did they do to me?

Waiting. Kael grabbed her arm. “Don’t do it. Whatever this is—don’t sacrifice yourself.” Aria touched his face gently. “I’m not dying. I’m changing.” Kaelen growled. “If she finishes the invocation, everything I’ve built will unravel!” He lunged toward Aria—but Kael was faster. He met his double in midair, and the two of them crashed into the monolith. The ancient stone finally gave way, crumbling into ash as the two identical warriors fought with primal fury—claws against claws, blood against blood.

All she wanted to do was rest her sore body until she didn’t feel pain anymore. AFTERNOON came when Drake’s Beta suddenly rushed towards him with a pale face. “Alpha!” Beta Dillon called. Without an obeisance, he continued. “Alpha, there’s an unforeseen attack from the outside this morning. Some of our soldiers were slaughtered,” he informed, trembling. Drake’s forehead knitted. He looks livid and ready to kill someone mercilessly. “Who the fuck are they?” “Humans, Alpha,” Beta Dillon answered. Drake balled his fists; his face became expressionless. “Are you sure about that? Don’t you know the rouge actions lately? They’re quiet and not attacking anymore after the last encounter with them.”

"Explain." "Water balloon," Dante says, crossing the room with the ease of someone who believes he is about to be forgiven. "We could not find actual balloons anywhere in the villa, so we went through your desk drawer, found one, filled it with water, and rigged it above the door frame to drop on Matteo when he came in." I absorb this. Matteo Ferraro. Our Enforcer. The man who resolves situations before I even become aware they exist, who has never once given me a reason to question his capability, who is arguably the most useful person currently on my payroll.

And yet, were humorously failing in that aspect… “Enough,” Siel said once more. “Please! Rose is getting really scared. You’re traumatizing her! Please, STOP THIS NOW!” It was then that V decided to end this sorry excuse of a fight… As Jonah lunged at him with another left-handed punch, Vince moved to the side then caught the man by the left shoulder, stopping him from moving forward. As he predicted, Jonah automatically whipped his right arm over to him, a fist now aimed at his enemy’s jaw. V caught the punch easily with his free hand then used the man’s inertia to smoothly bring him to the floor face down with his body fully stretched out.

Was this creature really invincible? By this point, the spider had gotten fed up with Walter’s attacks! With that, it took aim at Walter’s chest before simultaneously launching its corpse flame, web, and pincers! Naturally, the now flustered Walter immediately tried to dodge the attack. Unfortunately, he ended up getting slammed by one of the beast’s pincers, resulting in the middle-aged man getting flung against a wall! The impact was so great that there was now a crater where Walter had collided!

The forceful impact landed squarely on the villain's chin, shattering his mask and revealing a battered and broken face. The villain was sent hurtling through the air, propelled by the sheer force of the blow. In a swift and calculated move, Dante sprang into action, shooting a grappling hook to intercept the villain's trajectory. With precision and agility, Dante managed to catch the unconscious villain mid-flight. The momentum threatened to overwhelm him, but he fought against it with every fiber of his being, struggling to contain the erratic movement. Max and Leo swiftly joined the fray, coming to Dante's aid. They secured the villain and swiftly fastened handcuffs around his wrists befo
