W-What ha-?!” Kora suddenly placed a hand on my mouth, covering it shut. “Calm down. I just casted an invisibility spell on you.” ‘’Invisibility’?’ I mentally repeated, not familiar with the word. As though reading my mind, the Beta said, “Basically, no one can see you, or even smell you. However, they can still hear and touch you, as you can tell. The spell won’t last long, though. At best, we only have ten minutes before it wears off, so we need to be quick about it.”

Deciding to be careful, I use a simple camouflaging charm over myself. It is a basic defensive charm, nothing like the Dark-Magic-fuelled Cloak that Ann and I used to hide from the assassins. The Cloak shrouds the person completely in darkness, rendering them totally invisible to prying eyes. But it can only be used at night, and it is powered by Dark Magic, which as Venusian Witches, we aren’t supposed to use.

I clenched the blankets tightly in anger. Vanessa wrapped her hands using all the blankets and beddings to forcefully break the metals imprisoning her. Some blankets have been burnt with blood on them. "She probably used everything she could find to cover herself, considering these thick blankets and bedsheets are put together." The metal would burn whatever Vanessa uses to cover herself as long as the metal detects her blood. But if she used a very thick cover and manages to break the metals in a second then the metal won't have the time to burn the blankets to reach her skin.
