Invisible Floating Bookshelves Novels & Stories

The interior of the pavilion defied physical logic. What appeared modest from outside expanded within to a vast chamber, its boundaries lost in shadows that moved with unsettling purpose. No support poles held up the ceiling—instead, the black fabric seemed suspended by an invisible force, rippling occasionally like the surface of dark water.

Chapter — The Castle Teaches Aella POV The shelves moved. Not subtly. Entire rows of books slid aside, gliding across the floor with perfect precision until the center of the library stood completely open. Tables rolled back on their own. Chairs tucked themselves neatly against the walls. Floating lights gathered overhead, brightening the cleared space until it felt less like a library and more like a lesson waiting to begin. I remained seated for one stunned heartbeat. Then I stood. “Of course,” I muttered. “Why would anything in my life ever come with normal instructions?”

It was the whole thing that shove all the doubt away from my system. Not to include the shelves that was countless and height the endless. There were also immortal books made of multi-colored ancient jades, golden books covered with dazzling, lustrous golden lights, and even strange books enveloped by lightning. Alex was dumbfounded just by looking at them. He looked at the crowd around him and realized that no one looked in that direction. Even if he reminded them by making vague references, they failed to sense anything. Pigsy even came over and passed through the bookshelf, yet it found nothing. Sensing no anomaly, it was as if the bookshelves containing the bizarre books were utterly nonexistent. “Do you find this table a little odd?” Alex deliberately said after he walked to the table and knocked it.

I'm running the microfiber cloth along the spines when my elbow accidentally bumps against a thick volume of Russian poetry. The book depresses like a button. Curiously, he keeps staring at the note card on the table. ************* In a large library there are many tall shelves, reaching up to heaven. In-between, there is some rustling, as if someone is turning the pages of some books. In the air, there is also a smell of ink giving off the feel that that person is writing something as well. But, on noticing closer, the weirdest scene one gets to see is of a few books, opened and freely hung up in the air and the pen moving on its own, golden words filling up the pages.
