I have a very strong urge to lay down and run my fingers through it. He leads me into his living room, and points to one of the couches. I sat down, ignoring that he just told me to sit like a dog and I listened. He disappeared into what I assumed was the kitchen, leaving me to look around his living room in awe. He had a lot of bookshelves. They were all made of dark, expensive looking wood, and were crammed with books, though I didn't recognize any of the titles. The tops of the shelves had small plants, a couple candles, and other small trinkets. There was a large flat screen TV in front of the couches, sitting atop a wooden TV stand that matched the bookshelves. The remotes were lined up

he asked. “Yeah, looks great,” I said appreciatively. Personally, I kept things pretty minimal when it came to furniture and decorations, so when Joe told me that he wanted these two shelving units, one on either side of the mantle, I’d been a bit skeptical. “What the hell are you even going to put on them?” I scoffed. “It’s not like you read, man.” Joe guffawed. “Books are a huge chick magnet,” he said. “Bring them home to a house full of books and they’re sure to sleep with you.”

Except it wasn't what I wanted at all. I turned back to the bookshelf, running my hand over the smooth wood. Cherry, because it was Sophie's favorite. Six shelves, each one precisely measured and sanded until there wasn't a single rough edge. I'd carved a small pattern along the sides, delicate vines and leaves that had taken hours of painstaking work. This was what I was good at. Building things. Creating something solid and permanent with my hands. Not relationships. Not navigating feelings that had no business existing. I picked up the sandpaper and got back to work.

The Pervert Desire

The Pervert Desire

The difference is that Ben's unit adds a mezzanine aka an additional floor using half the height of the room for a bed without a bed so that the main floor has additional space. The most amazing thing for Maureen was the bookshelves made of wooden pallets painted the same color as the walls. White. The books were arranged as if they were floating when viewed from a distance. "Six days a week, you're just doing work and you go to the office almost every day sleepy. When will you have friends?" Again, Ben continued to tease her. The boxes that were brought in gave a thumping effect when placed on the surface of the round table in the center of the room. With no chairs or sofas in sight, Ben's

Facsimile (My Alter Ego)

He chooses the bigger room to be his bedroom it has its own shower that made it all convenient, then he chooses the small room to be his pretend 'study room'. He divided the room into two parts; the first part is a library acting to be his study area, with a couple of cabinets full of books, there's a wooden table, a desk lamp, and a wooden chair. Then, of course, the epic secret room that you can access when you move the shelves which is really a door.

LOVE ME OR HATE ME

LOVE ME OR HATE ME

I looked at what I had built. The crib against the wall. The shelving unit with the small collection of things that had been accumulating over the past months. Books that Aria had chosen. A small stuffed animal that Becca had sent without explanation other than a message that said the baby will need this and I am not taking questions. The mobile that I had assembled separately and that was now hanging from the crib in the specific careful way that things were hung when they mattered. The rocking chair in the corner. The slightly uneven corner piece on the shelving unit where I had made the specific minor error that the instruction sheet had not warned me about and that had been too far along

Secrets of the Luna

Secrets of the Luna

Walking inside, she grabbed a piece of paper and held it out for me. It was a picture of a black wall with an alternating pattern of dark wood. There were lanterns hung on either side on the wood center. This must have been her inspo picture, and she was hitting it perfectly. The right wall was floor to ceiling bookshelves of matching stain. A small black metal chandelier was already hung from the ceiling. Black metal handles were on all the cabinets to tie everything together. “You did a great job!” Handing the paper back to her, she got a big smile on her face.

Every single book I read from Mrs. Smith is AMAZING! Secrets of the Luna is no exception. Her writing makes the story fly by too fast! What I LOVE is you become part of the story, and to me, that's a sign she's a great author.

Love the book although the plot is just a repetition of Tattooed Luna with a few differences. Same storylines… FL with complicated childhood being hunted down by villain with Mafia ties and overprotective brother is also in the mix. Just too similar in my view. But enjoyable nonetheless.

THE REMARRIED HEIRESS

THE REMARRIED HEIRESS

It wasn't childishly cartoonish but beautifully rendered, making the room feel like a real escape. His bed, a sturdy single, was shaped like a treehouse, complete with a small ladder leading up to the mattress and a little 'roof' overhead. Draped over the side was a soft, green mosquito net, adding to the jungle canopy feel. Scattered around the room were plush toys of various jungle animals: a soft lion, a striped tiger, and a sleepy-looking sloth. In one corner, a low bookshelf overflowed with children's books. Beside it was a small wooden table and two chairs, perfect for drawing or building. And a large flat-screen TV was mounted on another wall with a child-sized gaming chair sitting in

E.C. EDWARDS - The Mighty Antimagic Spell

E.C. EDWARDS - The Mighty Antimagic Spell

The girl almost felt like sitting down there to sleep. Pmyrie looked for something in a beautiful opening in that huge tree. A hollow that seemed to be a cupboard whose doors were made of live twigs and leaves, part of the same tree, which also easily fell apart when touched. And which, after you ended your job in that hollow-closet, got back in place. “I have a book about powerful potions that could help you. Many of them are impossible to create, considering the necessary materials can only be found in the Sacred Tree House, back home. But surely you’ll find some that might be useful to you to finish this test well and maybe the following ones.
