She lay there until she was sure that the person was gone. Immediately she noticed that he was outta sight, she came out from the bed with cautious steps and went outside to peep, to see what was going on. Lots of dead bodies lay on the floor, people were murdered in cold blood that brought shivers down her spine. She couldn't believe that Beta Derek was so wicked that he didn't care about shedding innocent people's blood just for the throne. I couldn't believe how much my father trusted and respected him and yet he turned out to be our worst nightmare.

He was killed from a fatal bullet shot in his skull but before that, he was also tortured for over six hours along with multiple stab wounds all over his body.

“You never saw him die-“ “He is dead!” “Sam,” Sebastian spoke up, eyeing her. “We were trained to tackle a larger group by ourselves,” his voice holds a gentle tone. “Aaron…knew how to survive,” Sam shook her head. There’s a moment of silence before Sebastian sighed. “If…If it’s anyone else, then…I’m not sure what could they possibly want with Miles,” “Maybe an enemy of his father?” Nate spoke up for the first time. “We literary saw the news. Henry’s dead,”

“Sometimes, death comes to those who order it and to those who expect it last.” Then she and her men walked away, their silhouettes swallowed by the night and the stench of diesel and fear. The yard was left with the scent of gunpowder and the soft, desperate noises of men trying to recover their pride.

That usually meant two things, one, whoever was after Xavier Anderson was extremely powerful or two, it was a last minute hit job. "Mr Xavier Anderson was gunned down by a long range snipper, it is believed to be the work of a proffesional hit man linked to the death of several business men in the last six months." Definitely option one, with this being one of many deaths I concluded that the person after Xavier was very powerful. I let out a breath they had not even realized I was holding in. "Holy Shit that was close!" I am just glad I had not stepped on anyone's toes yet. I knew I would have to eventually but for now I would prefer to lay low.

Who else could stand to benefit from his death?

I tap my fingers on the armrest, waiting for his answer. He proudly rests his back against the office chair and smiles. "Janet Johnson." I nod. Her name playing in my head. I get distracted from my thought when my phones' ringtone fill the room. I pick it up without wasting much time. "Boss." One of my men calls. "There is a problem." I look up at Seth then at the table. "What's that?" "The ship transporting our weapons, can't be found." "What!" I furrow my brows. "When did you realize this?"

They finished their confessions and looked at me anxiously. I did not give them the outburst or the breakdown they were bracing for. Instead, I was unsettlingly calm. "What's the deal with our daughter? What happened to her?" I caught Chester off guard; he clearly did not expect me to brush off his fling with Jane so easily. Panic flickered in his eyes before he stammered out, "Wendy's death; It was an accident." I did not let him finish. In one swift motion, I yanked back the white sheet from the cart next to us, revealing my daughter's body.
