I say quietly, the weight of the book suddenly feeling much heavier.
“How old?” he asks, tying the drawstring of his dry pants and walking toward me.
I check one of the earlier pages, looking for the very first timestamp. My breath stalls in my throat.
“Almost a hundred years or more it's blurred out"
He walks closer, standing over my shoulder to look at the parchment. “That’s not possible. The paper would be dust if it wasn’t protected, and who would be down here a century ago?”
“The entries looks like they belong to Baba,” I say, my voice barely a whisper as my eyes scan the familiar, sharp signature at the bottom of a page. “But the dates… Soren, these are from nearly a century ago. 1930s
