Night of shades

Night of shades

The bottled blonde pointed her finger at him. “You’re an outsider,” she intoned. “You don’t belong here.” The term was repeated over and over by every voice. It rolled through like dominoes falling. “Outsider, outsider, outsider.” Alex couldn’t see over the crowd. Anyone who came within its orbit seemed to be pulled into its gravity, and nobody was protesting. Nobody was going to help him.

An Outsider in My Own Family

An Outsider in My Own Family

Mom started pointing fingers and scolding me as if she finally found a way to attack me. She continued, "We're just asking for a room change, it's not like we're not bringing you along. And yet, you're saying such things—you really disappoint me, Heidi. "Back then, Madie chose to go abroad just to let you experience a complete family. Even after she came back, she was worried you'd mind, so she dared not come back home and rented a place herself. But now, you're even refusing her a room? How could you be so selfish?"

Taming the Rogue Luna

Taming the Rogue Luna

It doesn’t change the fact that I’m here, alive, while so many of their so-called warriors couldn’t hold a candle to me. Still, I can’t shake the strange sensation creeping along my spine. It’s not fear—it’s never fear—but something close to irritation. Like their gazes are pinpricks against my skin. Maybe it's because I haven't been a part of a community in a very long time, and have forgotten what it's like. Being an outcast, that's something I'm used to, but this, this seems to be a whole new ball game.

Tainted Blessing

Tainted Blessing

Zira fidgeted with the laminated menu. “Maybe. The waitress is ignoring me again. You might just have to order for me. Again!” despite saying it under her breath Zira didn’t miss the dirty looks the waitress shot her as she walked by. It couldn’t be a coincidence that this happened every time she came into a restaurant alone she either didn’t get to order or it took far too long for them to get to her. If it weren’t for a large amount of diversity in the people on campus Zira would have thought it was a skin problem. She was left with the assumption that the small town just wasn’t kind to outsiders. From what she heard it was next to impossible to get into the university without a personal

The Lost Royal

The Lost Royal

A stranger, in a place where everyone seemed so close, and an outcast, in a place where people truly seemed to look out for each other. It felt othering, but in a very different way than it ever had before. And saddening, that I'd never known this kind of warmth and welcome, from anyone except my mother. And even that was different. So much of our time together was focused on survival and resilience, and looking after the needs of others. Rarely ever did we have opportunities to simply enjoy each other's company, and share happy moments like this.

THE REJECTED OMEGA'S FATE

THE REJECTED OMEGA'S FATE

Whispers followed me everywhere. I kept walking like I hadn’t heard a thing. My chin was held up high and my eyes were straight forward. That was the only way to survive here, pretend their words slid right off me. But they didn’t. They dug deep into my skin, scraping at the part of me that already wondered if maybe they were right. I was an outsider. I didn’t belong here. And the harder I tried to blend in, the clearer it became that I couldn’t. I tried to keep busy. It was the only thing that helped.

Lala's Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret

Lala's Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret

No, John Donne, her inner voice said, drifting off even now as Sèdonoudè pled the case for his soul, we are each as islands, distant from each other as one star is from the next. ‘An I wanna tell you I ahm a grateful man for de way you helped me, coz I know is many, many, many people what don’ like a black, African man such as meself, an I wanna mek it up to you somehow, you know?’ Neither Lala nor Linda could really understand what it means to live at the margins. Not as an individual, suffering from illness such as Lala, or in poverty and illiteracy like Billy, even as a criminal in a community, but at the very edge of existence brought about by famine and war, and the displaced statelessn

The Rejected Luna's Prophecy

The Rejected Luna's Prophecy

My brother’s only duty was to get our mother and me to safety. The outsiders are those stray wolves who don’t belong to a pack or who have been cast away. But rumor has it that someone is bringing them together to form a pack—an empire of their own. They have been claiming lands and killing their Alphas, but when they attacked our land, they left the moment my father died.

Rebel Rising The Lost Alpha's Mate

Rebel Rising The Lost Alpha's Mate

The one thing all outliers now fear instead of seeking. Sure mates still exist and people still find them, but not out here. Not in the slums of the city where the unwanted laborers lay. Nah, we aren’t good enough for love and happiness. Be it our misfortune of standing up for what we believe or who our parents are, we are outcasts stuck on the outskirts. I stay for my dad, others stay for their family members or their mates that have been taken just out of reach.

This was my first time reading a story from this author, and I have to say… it was one of the best books I’ve read! There are several amazing authors on this ad, and this one is now added to that list! The story was so well written with beautiful character progression. Absolutely worth a read! :)

Second book of yours I'm reading, I've also read the Mate Gamble. This is right on par with that and I plan on keeping it for a reread. Was seeing that there was going to be a sequel is that still in the works? And we definitely need a book for Tank. Can't wait for that one! .........

Cruel Fate

Cruel Fate

Will I be the only one at home? My parents had stopped me or rather, threatened me not to work with my condition. I don't want to be a liability to them but they don't even care. All they want is just to see my happiness. I've never come across people like this in my entire life. Someone who is not even related to them at all, at all.... Yet, they treated her like an egg in the family? Is there still people like that in this world? Who will love an outsider just like their own?

Wow... writing 272k words is not an easy feat. You wrote such a wealth of words, I’m in awe of your writing. Speaking about this book- look at that cover! I want to frame it. The story has depth, twists and untold emotions. I’m still in starting chapters, but I liked whatever I read so far.
