She spoke frankly. “We won’t let that happen then.” Isla declared, eyes fierce and determined. As the Moon Goddess nodded. I looked between the two of them and their appearances where uncannily similar they had the same eyes and hair color and some of the same bone structure as well, if i had doubted her as the Moon Goddesses daughter reincarnated just looking at the two of them would put those doubts to rest. “How do we find the two missing parts?” I asked. “Don’t know, but Isla will figure it out.” She winked. “Besides, there are things that need to be done first. Like your battle with the Shadow Moon Pack and Isla still needs to unlock and be able to use her witch abilities.”

As the group moved onward, Darius, the usually composed warrior, murmured, "Did anyone else hear that whisper, or have I finally lost my mind?" Elara nodded gravely, her hand instinctively moving to the hilt of her sword. "I heard it too. It seems the Voidwalker is more aware of our plans than we anticipated." Orion looked pensive. A part of me, maybe the quiet part that always believed in destiny felt like she wasn’t here by chance. Maybe the Moon Goddess had brought her to us for a reason. If anyone could help us destroy them from the inside, it would be her. I looked up at the ceiling, letting out a silent prayer to the Moon Goddess. Thank you, I whispered in my mind. Thank you for this chance. Maddox stirred in my chest.

At once, I was reminded of my woe. Isla was unconscious. My heart sank. With our Cub in my arms, I shifted close to Isla now and Andrea immediately spoke before I could say anything. “She’s not waking up and I’m guessing it’s because of the taboo with the moon goddess. Artuhla has not said anything yet.” Andrea told me and I immediately handed the Cub to her so I could focus on Isla. I achieved having a baby but I can’t accept losing my Mate. Never!
