The moon hung low in the sky, its silver light casting an ethereal glow over the clearing. It was a waxing gibbous, nearly full, the night thick with anticipation for what was to come. Tomorrow, they would march on Sakura Heiei, a mission to rescue Johnson, Isagani, and the others who had been captured. Alice knew she had to be ready—her powers of vision, psychometry, and telepathy were their key to survival. But controlling them in this era had always been a struggle, and tonight was her last chance to master them before the dangerous mission.

I followed the path, and soon it spilled out onto the Standing Stones. Seven stones stood in a circle, and mosaic tiles had been set in a circular fashion to the center, where the image of the Moon Goddess was etched on the center circular tile. The gray stones were illuminated blue in the bright moonlight. Everyone stood around the outside of the circle holding their candles.

The mercury man chuckled. "Moon treasure?" Samuel asked in confusion. The mercury man nodded. "Do you want to hear a story?" Although Samuel was speechless, he looked at the mercury man eagerly and showed his attitude. In the Eight Direction World, there used to be an isolated island, dimly discernible. In each of the twelve sixty years, it reincarnated and appeared in the sea of the Eight Direction World.

What were their plans for me? The sun was high in a bright blue sky when we reached Moonstone Pack’s dock, a spot of technology among the lush foliage of the island. There was a large moon above them. Kara looked around. It was a vast grassland. She could see some way off stone statues of people by trees with small pink flowers. Mary walked the other way, towards a bunch of logs laid out in a circle around a fire. Kara awkwardly followed her and sat beside her on one of the logs. "So..."
