The evening air was thick with unspoken words as Isla sat in the dimly lit library of the Blackwood estate. The fire crackled softly in the background, casting flickering shadows along the mahogany bookshelves. She had buried herself in a book, hoping that the fictional world would offer some solace from the chaos of her reality, but her mind kept drifting back to Killian. The way he had kissed her. (Celina’s POV) My time in isolation had given me ample time to think about everything. How did I get to this point in my life? Locked in this isolated, cold, dark room—if I could call it a room, it felt more like a prison. It also allowed me to test my skills—thanks to the books Landon had given me—by pushing every limit each day to see just how far I could push myself. This did wear me off, and I had to eat random bugs and things that crawled around in the dark and drink water from the bathroom.

Certainly not one that only came up to his shoulder, complete with pink ribbons. “Aren’t you afraid?” he asked. “Climbing a stranger’s rock.” “You’re not a stranger. You’re Feliks Rostova. I saw you in the family photo.” She turned her body fully toward him—the gaze that followed was very small and immensely serious. “You looked isolated in that photo.” Feliks went still. “I’m not lonely,” he said finally. The sentence had lost the solid ground beneath it. Isabella didn’t argue. She looked back at the water. “Being lonely is normal. Sometimes I feel it too, even with Alessandro always nearby. Loneliness in the middle of a crowd has its own particular taste.”

This' where the meeting would be held. The small library at the wall is stocked with a few interesting books to use and pass some time. I pick up a book that attracts my attention, from a glimpse of it, I detect that it's a romance fantasy. The gold and red combination of the cover with the stylish golden fonts captivates me, the front has a young girl holding on her palms what looks like a magical spindle, with a glowing light around it. The title goes, "When you're alone." A subscript writes, "A supermodel story of the girl who single handedly achieves the most difficult goals."

Interesting Facts about the Lonely God that nobody asked for 1. Not many people know this but The Lonely God is an individual book in the trilogy Of Me and My Mate. The first book in the series is called My Mate is My Enemy, which is the story about Nefret’s grandparents. It was my first ever werewolf book on Wattpad. The second book in the series is called Chasing My Mate which is the story about Erika’s parents. You need not read the previous two books to read The Lonely God but if you are curious and have some penny to spare then you’ll find the books on Dreame. You’d have to pay to read though.

Ben whispers, mostly to himself, as he shakes his bundle. “You go first, Isla,” Maddox says, taking Isaac’s bundle from my hands. I smile, tearing open the bundle and looking down at a small, worn book with no title and leather cover. I pull a piece of dried lavender from between the pages, but when I open the book, there is no text inside. “How strange,” I say over the sound of paper ripping and people remarking about their own gifts.
