Edgar says as the phone drops and I hear a cry of pain. “Fuck!” I scream out in anger. “What is happening?” Laney asks her fear mixing with my ache and anger. “War,” I say, looking out the window as we pass wolves fighting vampires and witches who are throwing magic around like they are playing fucking catch on a sunny day in their front yard. “We just entered the fucking war.” “War?” Her eyes water as she watches and flinches with every death as if they hurt her physically. “For what?” She asks.

She screamed, still looking up. "Ahhhhhhh!" She screamed, like never before... War has started. This is survival of the fittest, Who will survive and who won't?

Grace watched as their vehicles entered the gates of the pack territory. “Why do we look like we’re entering a war zone?” There were guards with guns and what she’d once assumed were giant attack dogs, but now knew were shifters in their animal forms. This was unreal to her. She felt like she was slipping into another world through some sort of magical quick sands. Unreal and yet too real. “I’m afraid it’s a Cold War right now with a high probability of it becoming very active soon.” Bart informed her.

"Jake quick here!" She quickly whipped Pegasus in the butt away from the place. Just in a few minutes they were on the edge of the Hacienda when Jasmine woke up in fear. She suddenly remembered that afternoon, they had enjoyed talking. But Jake's life is dangerous for the two of them only, lest they might be in an encounter. She remembered the last thing Mang Castor said not to spend the afternoon on the plateau with rebels roaming their area in recent days. It wouldn't matter if she was alone.
