“What does that mean.” Darkun said nothing. He laughed instead. Not the laugh of cruelty or triumph, which would have been easier to place. The laugh of someone watching something they had long anticipated arrive exactly as expected, the private satisfaction of a very patient person. He sat in it for a moment and then he stopped and looked at us with the same composed expression he had worn since he arrived. He stood and crossed the room.

Darkous laughed, taking a long draw of his cigarette as he raised an eyebrow, seeming to control his increasing humour. “Don’t begrudge a man for his occupation, besides that shits fun.” His brother chuckled as he lit a Cuban cigar, taking an equally long draw. Darkous shook his head in amusement, unable to disagree with his brother as he spoke, his tone light and bubbly. “I have to be honest brother, that shit is fun.”

I needed to know I’m not gonna die today. “You already suggested dying,” he jumped over a tree trunk and continued his journey, not staring to the sides for even a second. “Are you kidding me? That was a…was…that was some kind of joke.” “Mine too,” he scoffed. “Dark humor girly huh,” he stopped and stared down at me. “As much as you like dark humor, trust me, you don’t want to be here when it gets dark.” He turned around and walked away, “Better keep up.”

I deadpanned and the bastard actually looked amused. “Touche.” Dark shrugged. “Anyway, I think I’ll just stick with Goddess. It has a certain ring of irony to it, doesn’t it? Like an all-powerful being, but you’re actually… Weak.” Dark’s mocking only served to enrage me further. Sucking in a deep breath, I attempted to calm myself before I launched across the two-meter gap and strangled the man. “Do you think you’re the only one who can play mind games?” I narrowed my eyes at him and Dark just smirked.

‌ "Finish it." ‌ Niels, the embodiment of debauchery, seized the moment to interject with his own brand of dark humor. ‌ "A little detour, if you will. A dash of fun before we fulfill dear Gregory's orders." ‌ Ned, by his side, his eyes dancing with mischief, chimed in with a conspiratorial grin. ‌ "After all, variety is the spice of life, isn't it?" ‌ As the room's atmosphere morphed from confrontation to a sinister anticipation, their exchanges, layered with wicked amusement, created a symphony of tension and dark humor.

“That was... something.” He didn’t even flinch. “Tough crowd,” he muttered under his breath. Tough crowd? Was this a boardroom or open mic night? --- Then came the coffee break. I’d barely made it to the break room when he cornered me with another one of his “brilliant” jokes. “What do you call a sad cup of coffee?” he asked, his voice dripping with enthusiasm. Against my better judgment, I played along. “What?” “A depresso.”

I hate him calling me Dark, he is spoofing all the time. "Stop calling me Mr Dark and I will stop calling you Mrs Dark it's simple. Try it once...some other name." He said with a trace of a smile. Umm let me think...Mr Attitude, Mr Irritating, Mr Rude, Mr Frustrating, Mr Arrogant...Mr Dominating, or yeah stone heart. I gave him a series of better choices. " Stop it, no more names," he said frowning.
