After the Last Autumn

After the Last Autumn

The beggar slowly lowered the hands shielding her head and looked up at me. The moment our eyes met, both of us froze. Her face had become so gaunt that she was nearly unrecognizable. Still, I knew who she was at once—June. The once-glorious station chief who had stood at the center of everything had now fallen so low that she had become a beggar everyone despised. I slowly stood up and instinctively took a step back. June simply tilted her head up at me, her eyes gradually reddening.

Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

"Rear-ended your ass! Do you even know who I am, you broke piece of garbage? Who gave you the right to block my road with a trash Jetta? And you dare lecture me about traffic law? You're done today." Nicole laughed coldly, like she had just heard the world's biggest joke. "Who the hell do you think you are? Trying to argue with Dawson? Haven't you heard of the Schwartz family of Chetvine? Forget about who's at fault! Dawson hit you on purpose because he can't stand broke losers like you. What are you going to do about it?" She was completely baffled by this country bumpkin. Chetvine was where all the wealthy and powerful people in the country gathered, yet this idiot had somehow appeared out

Very good story and the ending was relatively good since each part of the story give a obvious closure. The audio book is also available the whole story. Other authors should follow this example. There is nothing worse than a forced ending or a cut off story, so this story gets all stars, great job!

The Downfall of the Devious Intern

The Downfall of the Devious Intern

I yanked my sleeve free, brushing off nonexistent dust with disgust, and shot him a cold look. "Daniel, you didn’t love me. You’re only regretful now because you’ve lost everything. Don’t pretend this is about love. Your little performance is just pathetic." Without another word, I turned and walked toward the Maybach waiting for me at the curb. To my surprise, Daniel started shouting insults. "Well, well, Yuna Jones, looks like you've already found yourself a sugar daddy! No wonder you suddenly became the CEO of Starlight Technologies! Driving such an expensive car. I bet your ‘sponsor’ has no idea you’re just someone else’s castoff!”

Walking Away From Their Downfall

Walking Away From Their Downfall

"Mona Culver is really something. She tricked an entire class of high achievers! She's got them wrapped all of them around her little finger!" "All it took was a few words from her, and all of them listened to her and amended their applications. They even went so far as to create trouble in front of Northrind. How stupid can they be? They worked so hard to get a 4.0 GPA, only to end up in community college. They brought this upon themselves." I felt nothing as I swiped through all the comments. None of them evoked any emotions in me.

THE BILLIONAIRE BENEATH THE RAIN

THE BILLIONAIRE BENEATH THE RAIN

“You’ve been through hell. Let the world talk. Let them break their own necks over the news. You just… rest.” He didn’t answer, just sat down on the couch and leaned back. His eyes closed, and for the first time since I’d met him, he looked human. Not the billionaire. Not the man on every magazine cover. Just Rand. I sat beside him, resting my head on his shoulder. Outside, thunder rolled again — low and far away. The kind of sound that tells you the storm’s not over, just catching its breath. But right then, it didn’t matter. We’d already survived the worst part.

Rising From the Lie

Rising From the Lie

They didn’t understand that I was a seed. To understand how I got here, you need to know where it all started. This story begins before I was born—with a man who lived in the shadows and a woman who loved him too much to look away. From that distant past, it moves through years of secrets, silence, and wounds that left marks no one could see. Eventually, it arrives at a room where the truth finally has nowhere left to hide, where every lie that has ever been told comes crashing down at once. I am not telling you this so you will feel sorry for me. I stopped wanting pity a long time ago. I am telling you this because the world needs to know that the boy they threw away became the one thing th

Falling Through Lies

Falling Through Lies

She really had no moral compass. Everything she did was calculated perfectly, just enough to drain every last cent I had. “You’re insane! I’ve given you everything I earned. Where the hell am I supposed to find another thirty thousand dollars?” When Bailey saw that I clearly had no intention of giving her money, the fake sweetness on her face instantly vanished. She dropped the act and went right back to that vicious, take-no-prisoners attitude of hers. Hands on her hips, eyes glaring at me, she snapped, “Don’t pretend to be broke! After you fell from that building, the insurance payout alone has to be way more than that! I’ve humbled myself enough to save your face. Don’t push it!”

A Lonely Landlady's Fantasy

A Lonely Landlady's Fantasy

Even the smallest piece of fabric seemed to cling uncomfortably to my skin. Unable to resist the pull of what I was witnessing, I continued watching for a long time, my strength gradually draining away until I could no longer support myself. I slid to the floor, overcome. The heat of my breath filled the room, thickening the air with a charged energy I couldn't ignore. To be honest, I never expected my new tenant, Antonio Gomez, to be this captivating. The young woman he was with couldn't seem to keep up with him, but for someone like me—more experienced and mature—it only made me wish I could be in her place.

The Last Descent

The Last Descent

"Fine. Name your number. $100 million? $200 million? I've dealt with people like you before. All you're doing is driving up the price while you've got leverage. Go ahead. I'll pay it." "It’s not about the money." "Then what is it about?" He took a step toward me, and I could feel his heavy aura pressing in. "You say it's not the money. Then what? Do you have some kind of grudge against me? Have we even met before?" I looked into his eyes. Those same eyes that had once looked at me with so much warmth now held nothing but impatience and contempt. "No." "Then there's no reason for this." He waved a hand and issued his final ultimatum.

A Billionaire's Tale

A Billionaire's Tale

He shook his head at that thought, opened his eyes, and cleaned them with the back of his palm. “No more deceit from women, no woman will occupy my heart” he shook his head yet again “I was careless to trust her and she let me down in ways no one thought about. So, no, no to any form of feelings,” he muttered then picked up his phone to talk to Daniel who is probably buried in work. Daniel answered on the third ring “How’re you doing now? You calm already?” he asked. “Probably, where are you?” “Work and reconsidering throwing myself from the top floor” Daniel sighed.
