"Watch and learn, fire boy." Taking her skewer, she fixed him with an arched eyebrow before plunging her marshmallow directly into the flames. When she pulled it out again, the round white confection was engulfed in blue flame. Gently, she blew out the fire to reveal a charred marshmallow. "You burned it," Judd observed. "It's crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside. Pure perfection." She lay the marshmallow on top of the chocolate and used the other graham cracker to slide it off the skewer.

Whenever I took a bite of lasagna, I’d take a marshmallow and pop it in my mouth. “Uh Luna…” I looked up and noticed that they were all looking at me. “You’ve been eating a lot of marshmallows lately.” Primo said. I looked at Marina and she was smiling. “I don’t know why but I’ve been craving marshmallows lately. I used to eat these when I was in California, right Marina?” I looked at Marina and she smiled. “Yeah, Luna loves marshmallows.” I know Primo was suspicious but he smiled and nodded. “Really? I’ll buy you some next time.” I nodded and thanked him.

"He didn't hurt you, did he? Do I need to kill him?" Even after my crappy night, he pulled a smile from me. "No, he didn't hurt me. No need for a murder charge tonight." Present "Marshmallow?" Dee asked, shoving one in my face. I pulled the white goo off her roasting stick and popped it into my mouth. The sugar rush did little to improve my mood. The air smelled of campfire and saltwater, the night mild. A breeze blew in from the ocean, making the wild grass sway. It was a beautiful night. Great friends, gorgeous setting.

Blake was certain they all tasted the same. "Close your eyes," he challenged picking up a different coloured marshmallow in each hand. I laughed, closing my eyes. A puffy squishy marshmallow hit my lips. "Open." He stuffed the marshmallow into my mouth. "Now tell me what color?" "Pink," my reply was muffled by the sticky marshmallow goo filling my mouth. "You peeked," he accused laughing. "I did not," I said through a mouthful of pink goo. He strolled to his wardrobe, pulling out a heavy, woolen winter scarf.

Cracking my graham cracker in half and putting chocolate on one piece, I placed the marshmallow in the middle, using the top cracker to pull it off. Monica stood in front of me as I held it up for her to take a bite. Marshmallow oozed out the sided but her eyes popped out of her head. Her little eyes rolled in the back of her head as she moaned in happiness. Everyone busted up laughing at her reaction.

“You're kidding, right?” “No, I’m not.” “What? Why?” I shrugged. "I just don't like how it tastes and feels in my mouth." "How can you not love this?” He took one and ate it, for emphasis. “How can you not like the sweetness, softness, and squishiness of a marshmallow?” I gave him the look you'd give someone you think is going crazy, raising my eyebrows. "Okay, I get it. You love marshmallows but I don’t. I don’t like it at all. It’s kind of disgusting to me." Okay. I'm kind of exaggerated but who cares!

Holding one out to Xerces, I waited until he took it. “Thanks.” Without much effort, he hooked the bottle cap between his teeth and popped it off before taking a long drink. I grabbed one barbecue from the grill and took a bite, savoring the smoky flavor. Just then, an arm suddenly draped itself over my shoulders, making me flinch. I turned my head to find Mario grinning at me. He held up a perfectly roasted marshmallow, still skewered on a stick. “Want one?” I smiled and accepted it. “Thanks.”

After she had finished making them, she took out a jar of marshmallow syrup and told him: “Now a kiss from the person you love is just as good as a spoonful of this syrup. It’s sweet, passionate, soft, warms your heart and makes your belly tickle.” Unfortunately, when he first kissed Adira, he wasn’t still sure about his feelings back then. Besides, the kiss they had was more like an impulsive act of lust. Chapter Twenty-one -- "Wow! Where did that come from, Hubby?" I asked Kent and then I pointed to the two large marshmallow wrappers that he had just placed on the blanket. "I'm a boy scout, Wife." I laughed at his answer. "Yes, yes." And then I took it with the barbeque sticks and put three marshmallows on each stick. "You know Hubby, it's my favorite that marshmallow." "I know Wife." He answered me, he took two skewers of barbeque that we made this afternoon and then he put them on the burning charcoal.

I know in my lessons I learned vampires do indeed exist, but they tend to keep to themselves. I push my thoughts aside; I can always worry about the battle tomorrow. Tonight is family time. I grab a stick and place a marshmallow at the end; sticking it in the fire. I’ve always sucked at making marshmallows and end up burning the outside. Derek lets out a chuckle as he takes the marshmallow from me and makes it a perfect golden brown all the way around. He hands me my marshmallow back and I stick my tongue at him as he chuckles some more. I can’t help but giggle back at him. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. The atmosphere is full of love and laughter.
