Greta and Gabby made their way to Page Turner’s Bookstore just down the street from the Blue Moon Inn. Once inside the warmth of the large shop, Greta was surprised to see a bright modern shop, which included not only a metaphysical section, but my children’s section, too. With soft upbeat music playing in the background, it didn’t take long to find the shopkeeper chatting away to a rather wild looking dog by a fireplace.

Tuck said, his gaze bouncing between myself and Atlas. Since I wasn’t familiar with the areas around here yet, I let Atlas give that confirmation. “Seems the Jacob we want to check out is holed up at a warehouse just a few blocks from the bar out there.” Tuck smirked. “I know where that is.” I didn’t care enough to know what had him smiling, but it seemed as if he was going to tell us anyway. “There’s a mermaid server there who nearly cut my head off last time I went for a drink,” Tuck said. “Fun place.”

The expression on the innkeeper's face suddenly changed to one of disapproval.

We headed in through filthy streets, dark houses, and shady groups in every shadowed corner. I wondered if all the packs along the Dark Forest border were like this. "All right, we’ve arrived!" I looked around and it looks like the most decent inn in the pack," he bent to answer in my ear.
