“I swear, I need a weekend away or I’m going to scream. Luckily, Jace is taking me up to his cabin tomorrow.” Ryleigh blinked, the name unfamiliar. “Jace?” Natalia sat up, suddenly sheepish. “Oh. Right. I never told you. Jace Marlow. He’s one of the border warriors. You’ve probably seen him—tall, built like a tank, usually glaring at something.” Ryleigh’s lips curled. “Sounds charming.” “He is,” Natalia said with a small smile. “Well, once you get past the whole ‘I will kill you if you breathe too close to my mate’ vibe.”

I said, opening it. And there he was. Jace. Dressed simply again—dark jeans, a grey shirt, sleeves pushed to his elbows, hair slightly tousled like he hadn’t bothered to style it. Or maybe he had and just made it look effortless. Either was infuriating. But Alex didn’t care. He practically launched into Jace’s arms. “MAGIC MAN!” he screamed again,louder this time. His voice was filled with excitement and dare I say, disbelief. Jace staggered back a step, dramatically wobbling. “Whoa—whoa. It's only been three days since I saw you but you are heavy and you've grown taller too."

No I can't let him reach you Fel. "Save our mate Alex.He is here,our biggest enemy is finally here.You can't expose her to him.He is tenacious." Jace's alert voice rings in my head.He is ready to take the charge but this isn't the right time to handle matters with violence.He isn't a wolf of weaker strength. He shares the same bloodline as I do and perhaps stronger body and furnished combat skills due to continuous training at pack grounds and being involved in many wars against other packs and rogues.

Alpha of the McRae pack here.” He gestured to the pale-skinned fair on his right. “This is Jace, my second-in-command.” Jace crossed his arms over his solid chest and gave Marc an presumptuous gaze, his blue eyes limited with doubt. His cocky state of mind reminded Marc of Lucian, and he battled not to growl back at him. He didn’t like this one. Not one bit.

The air was crisp with the promise of dawn as Jake tightened his leather armor, preparing for the hunt. We could hear Blaze’s giggling as Jax took him off to play. “Gia, come over here for a sec.” I jerked my head for her to hurry her ass along. She cast the wolf shifter a dubious look, wondering what the hell he was doing here. “What’s your name, kid?” I asked him, cocking an eyebrow. He offered to shake my hand. “Jace Grayson. Whitevale’s Beta,” he introduced himself as Alpha Alec’s right-hand man. I returned the gesture, impressed so far. He was Lexi’s nephew. Now that I knew that, I could see the resemblance. They shared the same spunky attitude, having the brass neck to stand there, look me in the eye, and speak their minds.

I just gape at him , wondering if I heard him right . I take a deep breath and calm myself down , my mouth hardening into a straight line, Alec's hand freezes in the middle of it's action for a few seconds , then he finishes up applying . After he's done , he wipes his hand clean on a towel and then stands tall , squaring up to Jace . " This is the second time something like this has happened . " Alec growls lowly . Jace can do nothing except growl back . " She was going to go into the woods , where a pack just got slaughtered , Alec . " Jace clenches his fists .
