Jack London: The Call Of The Wild の小説・ストーリー

The night sky was covered by some clouds. But somewhere, there was a long howling…a big white wolf was standing on the edge of a cliff. Clayton rose from his seat. He looked at Mr. Jackson as he felt his blood was rushing inside his veins. There was a calling instinct coming into his all senses “It’s an alarming call, Jackson…” Mr. Jackson pulled the cigarette from his mouth. “Yeah. I know!” Austin rubbed her back neck. “I feel shivering to hear the howling…” “What’s that?”

What’s his name? Jack looked across at me and I probed the young man’s mind, it was flooded with memories of him romping around the fields near his parent's home with dozens of Shepherd puppies. There was no malice in him, everything he had said was true he had a real love for the breed. I delicately lifted my paw as if to shake Drew’s hand, ‘Oh my you are one well-trained boy’ He shook my pay enthusiastically and Jack hid a smile, ‘He’s awful big Sir, is he one of those dang hybrids my parents have been telling me about’

But Alpha Lucas refused to grant Teddy bail. "How can I be alright, Waylon? My wolf wants Charlotte and has been angry with me because I refused to see her and speak with her. I also saw her now when I was arriving here," Jack said, the look of hurt in his eyes as Waylon settled across from his desk and looked at him in pity.

Jack let out another joyful bark as if confirming my suspicion. "Dad's a bit grumpy again tonight, isn't he?" I whispered to my beloved golden retriever, Jack. Jack whimpered softly, sensing the tension in the air. Suddenly, Jack turned his gaze behind me, tilting his head to the left with curiosity drawn across his face. I turned around, following his line of sight, and found myself staring at Miles. "Oh, do you know who that is?" I asked my golden retriever dog, Jack. His tail wagged with excitement, and his ears perked up, indicating familiarity with the person behind me. Jack hasn't met Miles yet, but I told him a lot of things about Miles.

These weren't pets; they were war dogs, their teeth capped with titanium, their eyes intelligent and cruel. Steiner looked up. He saw Ben Carter, looking terrified. He saw Catherine, looking beautiful and dangerous. And he saw Jack. Steiner smirked. He saw the pallor of Jack’s skin. The slight tremor in his right hand. The way he favored his left side. "Jack Sterling," Steiner’s voice was a deep rumble. "I heard you were dead. Then I heard you were broke. Then I heard you were running." "You hear a lot of things, Steiner," Jack said, walking to the table. He moved slowly, deliberately. "Did you hear I have a job for you?"

Everything felt old, like history was more important to him than memories. Then my eyes landed on a frame that made me smile without meaning to. Two wolves—one male, one female—with a little wolf pup between them. The pup had its ears folded down and its teeth bared in a funny little snarl. I laughed quietly. “This must be Jack.” The way the pup’s face looked like he was caught stealing meat… it was too adorable to deny. I reached out and touched the frame gently. The moment my fingers brushed the gold, an electric spark shot through my veins. I gasped and jerked my hand away.

The flowers were all dead, I forgot my responsibility; I usually bring flowers every week to my father’s grave. It was past midnight, staring at the full moon. I just couldn’t hold it anyone, I howled in a mild tone, letting my wolf out. Jaden howled too, letting his wolf out. It felt so good leaving my mortal body. “It’s been a while” Helena affirmed howling again. I watched Jaden walk close to me. ‘What’s your name?’ ‘Jack’ ‘That’s cool’ “Jaden I’ll race you to the mountain over there” I made a deal, with the feeling of actualizing the speed at which I could run.

I asked, keeping my voice casual, though my heart rate spiked. Beside me, Liam stiffened slightly, his eyes flicking to the rearview mirror. "Yeah," Jack chuckled, finally looking up. "So you turn into... a dog?" I furrowed my brow, putting on my best confused face. "Like a Golden Retriever? Do you chase tennis balls?" Liam let out a bark of laughter, quickly turning it into a cough. Jack’s jaw dropped. He looked genuinely insulted. "Luna, I am not a dog. I am a wolf. A purebred, apex predator."

Jack ran towards the door. "I am not going to do it. I am not afraid of your hairy ass. I know that Magnus, from childhood, is also my wolf!!! I am not scared of him." He said running outside of the office. Jackson was laughing loudly. Marcus also runs behind him chasing him to the ground floor. They both end up fighting like children on the ground outside. They shifted in their wolf form now biting and clawing each other badly.
