I asked.
He unlocked the barn, leading the horse slowly out of it. It neighed, scowling at me with those dark beady eyes. I stared back, enjoying the challenge while Jade tried to pull me away so it wouldn't charge at me.
“Petty much?” she cackled.
“The horse doesn't seem to like me. What's his name?”
“Polly,” he answered briefly. “He's a six year old stallion, fast and fit for races, but the owner sold it to us for tourism purposes. That's why he's so cranky,”
